At the end of the Forgotten Island underground section, you will face off against a Minotaur. He does AoE damage attacks, that push you over. So avoid them when he's doing it. He also calls down rocks from above too. These impacts t zones are marked with a red circle. Just dodge out the way. For his melee attacks, they are ruthless and will hurt. Just dodge out the way, and dive in with some melee of your own.
If you have any fire petard, use them. They deal decent damage against him. He speeds up his melee the more health you take off him, just keep that in mind. And take your time. His attacks are a way of keeping you at a distance.
