How to unlock the Gifted Escapist achievement in Assassin's Creed Mirage - Definitive Guide
If you're looking to get this done and out of the way all in one go, I've found the Excavation Site to be the best spot since there are 3 scaffolds bundled together that you can grind for the achievement.
During the Find the Missing Brother case under the Ahmad ibn Musa investigation you visit the Excavation Site in the SW portion of the Baghdad wilderness, in the centre of the excavation site you'll find 3 scaffolds.
I suggest that you complete the case/mission first so that you can focus on the achievement. Afterwards simply destroy the scaffolding and then leave the restricted area. Now, there are two ways to respawn the scaffolding:
#1 - Call your camel/horse and ride to the nearby viewpoint (located north-east of the excavation site) to force the scaffolding to respawn and then rinse and repeat this until you've collapsed 20 scaffolds.
#2 - Fast travel to the above mentioned viewpoint to respawn the scaffolding and then once again rinse and repeat this method until the achievement unlocks. (Remember you can only fast travel outside of conflict so the first method will likely be the go-to. However, it is possible to collapse the scaffolding and leave without entering conflict, in which case fast traveling would be quicker)
Here is a game clip I recorded to show the spot and method:
Big thanks to Dr Scruffleton, iSanket, Bob Wings and Temppuli for their comments and information in helping to fine tune this solution.
Bug warning:
Unfortunately as of 11/10/2023 it seems this achievement can be buggy. Your achievement tracker might not track correctly and you may need to collapse more scaffolding than the required amount in order to unlock this achievement, or in the worst case scenario your tracker may stop working all together in which case the achievement will not unlock. You might be able to fix the tracker by closing and relaunching the game, hard resetting your console, deleting and reinstalling the game, and lastly deleting your save file and starting a new game (I suggest to try this only after you've unlocked every other achievement first). If you've tried all of the fixes above and it still hasn't unlocked you may need to wait for Ubisoft to release a fix/update.

perfect spot! Also very easy to just get on the camel and ride away for a few seconds, turn around and they’ll be there again

Thanks for the info @Dr Scruffleton, since loading screens are practically non-existent nowadays I've gotten rather lazy and often tend to save and reload in these sort of grinding situations I've added it to the guide and credited you

The scaffolding seems to be few and far between and you can't find one > save > collapse it > then reload. That doesn't seem to count.
So the best way to do it is, find one > collapse it > then run a few blocks away and come back and it should have respawned. Collapse it again and this seems to count.
Rinse and repeat.
If it hasn't respawned you just haven't ran far enough away.
Here is a location of some scaffolding.

It's worth point out that you don't need to run away.
Quick Saving and Quick Loading AFTER you destroy the scaffolding instantly respawns them. So it's worth just farming the three in the Harbour or Excavation site, save, load, and keep doing it.

The quickest and easiest way I've found is the following:
- Wilderness West Viewpoint, travel South-South-West to the Excavation Site (you visit here during a mission)
There are 3 scaffolds you can destroy in quick succession, run out the way you came in and soon as you leave the restricted zone fast travel back to the viewpoint.
RINSE AND REPEAT.

In Harbiyah, towards the very north and at a location you visit as part of a main mission very early in the game is a place called Upper Harbor. Here I was able to reliably farm 3 collapsible scaffolds. I had to run away pretty far to get them to respawn but it's not an unreasonable distance. There's two within the harbor itself and one just outside on the eastern side.

I found this to work great especially after finding a 4 scaffold near the trader southeast of the Upper Harbor, the distance to this scaffolding by trade is far enough to respawn the 3 J Roll mentions, so 5 trips and you're done

I was searching google and was able to find another alternative that worked out well for me that I haven'tseen posted. There are a few scaffolds (3-4) walking around the Postal Bureau on the way to the Damascus Gate. Eagle Vision helps to find these. In another area near the Great Garrison I was able to pass time on a bench and they would respawn, but it only worked twice, which is when I went to the Postal Bureau and found the rest I needed.
I’ll be honest, I got to the end of the game and I’d not collapsed one scaffolding structure. I mean, I saw them, I just didn’t see a use for them. Now, you’re going to be in one of two camps if you’re reading this:
- Camp 1: You’re just starting out and seeing what the list is like. If that’s you, when you see a scaffolding structure while playing the game, pull it down - just watch out for civilian casualties, as the game can desync you if you kill too many. This means that you’ll likely get this as you go
- Camp 2: You’ve finished the game and are now looking for a shortcut to get 20 as quick as possible, as you too didn’t take any down (like us) during the campaign
- Fast-travel to the Viewpoint to the west of the Prince’s Palace in north-east Harbiyah, and there’s one just to the south of the viewpoint. Pull it down
- Fast-travel to the Viewpoint in the north-northwest in Round City, and there’s one to the west of the Viewpoint. Pull it down
- Rinse and repeat, because they respawn when you use fast-travel

EXTREMELY easy once you know the locations. In the video, i showcase 3 scaffoldings right next to each other that you can take down, fast travel & come back. it should respawn ! there are other areas included as well.
(NO, you don’t need to crush an enemy for the trophy to count)

You can farm scaffolds in the arch opposite the main entrance to the great fortress. There is a tower nearby. Break the scaffold, teleport to another area and fly back, the scaffold will appear

It will be easier and faster to find any one platform (for example, any of the previous comments), collapse it and save right there. Then load the save, collapse it again, save and load the save... and so on in a circle. I saved each time because I am not sure how the counter works.
It may not be necessary to save every time.
