How to unlock the The Shadow and the Flame achievement in Assassin's Creed Mirage - Definitive Guide

Once you've filled your Notoriety bar, you should hear a Horn sounded at some point as you're running around. Once this happens, a beefy enemy will be nearby and attack you on sight. My suggestion is to pick up a fire barrel from one of the areas around you (I did this at the Harbor during the Beshi mission, plenty of Fire Pots around). Once you're holding the fire pot, lock on the the guy as he's walking up to you and throw it in his face for an insta-kill and the achievement should unlock!

No need to stress this too much if you’re Assassin rank or above. I was easily able to beat him on normal in regular combat. Just watch out bc if you’re not aggressive, he will heal himself with a drink.

Also if you’re playing via Ubisofts subscription service, you get some really decent weapons at the start and can kill one in two to three hits. I used the electric sword you get.

Trying to do this as soon as you reach the assassins was not the way to go

I used the flame weapons you get from the DLC, just randomly killed one without realising since I ran away after parrying one due to being set on fire lol

I killed one just now at random while defending myself. I thought he was a standard enemy, and he wasn't that hard.

Took 3 traps thrown from building above to kill.

Fire pot didn't worked. I had to kill him normally, but I chose Easy difficulty, and dies in 3-4 hit with a parry.

Here’s what I did.

Make sure you have Tier 2 unlocked for smoke bomb and equip Choking Fumes.

Once that’s done, get your notoriety level maxed to level 3 and wait for a Shakiriyya to appear.

Engage the elite soldier in combat and throw in your smoke bomb with Chocking Fumes attached. The enemy will be stunned, allowing you to attack with your sword. Use the best sword you have for maximum damage until performing the killing blow and the trophy should unlock.

Have fun and good luck!

Fun Fact - the name of this trophy is in reference to the second Prince Of Persia game, The Shadow And The Flame! 😃

Edit: I noticed that someone gave this solution a thumbs-down. If you wish for me to improve my solution, send me a comment and I will change it to something better. Otherwise, please provide your own or don’t be negative at all. Thank you!

Assassin's Creed Mirage has a notoriety gauge (the red meter at the bottom right of the screen), which can be reduced by tearing down posters or paying off preachers giving speeches in the streets. Commit enough crimes in plain sight, however (murdering guards or civilians, being caught pickpocketing etc.), and manage to max out your notoriety, and you’ll have a Shakiriyya sent after you.

You’ll recognise a Shakiriyya by their mask and twin daggers, as well as their speed and agility. Keeping your wits about you and parrying attacks is the only real way to get the edge over a Shakiriyya, as is using tools to your advantage too. Bear in mind that you can’t assassinate a Shakiriyya either, so don’t bother trying. Take one down in a fight (preferably one-on-one), and you’ll unlock this achievement, and completely clear your notoriety in the process.

Fun tip: if you fight him near a set of mercenaries, who you’ve hired, they’ll not only attract the attention of the Shakiriyya, but they’ll do decent damage too!

I found such a samurai in the Great Fortress, knocked him out with a dart in battle and finished him off

Raise the alarm level to the maximum and run until he comes running, you can combine it with the trophy "Bad fame" and "Will of the Eagle"

This is the warrior who has two swords and attacks you at the maximum level of fame. After killing him, all fame is reset and you can also take 3 first aid kits from him.

You just need to reach wanted level 3 and he will appear next to you.

The required mob appears after raising the wanted level to the maximum. Note that after killing it, the wanted level is reset, so do not try to combine it with some trophies.

The fastest and easiest way to get the trophy is the "Poison Blade" of the throwing knife and just a couple of throws to the body. Having gained 3 wanted levels, this warrior will find you himself and you do not need to fight with him for half an hour.

the warrior is actually weak and all movements are cyclical: 2 hits at close range, a hit with a kick (red) + a rebound and throws a dagger... and all over again constantly

Can be defeated with traps with the poison spray upgrade. Switched the difficulty level to easy before the battles. Called the required level of alarm. Shakiraya came running. Died after detonating two traps
