How to unlock the Bugologist achievement in Biomutant - Definitive Guide
I actually just want to add a couple important bits of information to the first guide, which was very helpful.
First, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I did. You must see Noko first, do a couple Mount quests for her, and about the 3rd or 4th quest she gives you is sending you to Mito, who then sends you to the Glittermoth Grotto where you will get 5 glittermoths automatically spawn. You then return to him, then return to Noko, she then gives u the awesome mount and you are free to return to Mito, go to the campfire up the dirt road from where Mito is and make it daytime. UNTIL YOU DO THE NOKO questline to that point, GLITTERMOTHS WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THE GLITTERMOTH CAVE.
Second, you do NOT HAVE TO RETURN TO MITO AND THAT CAMPFIRE, to change the time and then have to come all the way back. Fun fact, there is a campfire just to the right of the altar, off the ledge to the right. Go off the ledge to the right and float down to the right on a ledge where there is a camp, a campfire and a bunch of goodies.
To get back, just keep following around with the mountain to your right. There will be a point where you have to double jump and then hit X to glide, but you shouldn’t have any problem making it. Keep following not far.. and you will see the jump up spots that u would reach after the yellow rope if you had gone all the way back to Mito.

Thank you!
You're the only one I've seen that's clearly stated where the campfire is.

Found the easiest way to get this achievement was to run back and forth through Glittermoth cave during the day. Was finding 1-2 moths each day. There is a camp located just down the road by Mito at Brightlight in order to speed time up to day.
Also found plenty of Pippis and Sqvips during my runs if you require the Zoo-Do and Flap-flap achievements

Who downvotes the solution? I don’t understand people on this site. +1

@KJer25 Probably someone who want's to know where the Glittermoth cave is. A Map, or even mentioning it's in section 5J on your map (bottom right of screen on world map) would be nice.
Knowing if it's connected to a quest would be nice too. (it is - Mito's and Noko's who are both in the area)
EDIT: Also, I'm assuming this may be a fix from the patch, but ever since I completed the glittermoth quest I have glittermoth's showing up all over the place during the day, not just in the glittermoth cave.

Hi!
First of all - this is most annoying achievement from entire game, it's time consuming and little bit random.
To get access to Glittermoth Grotto you need first do missions for Noko. It is related to story, so earlier or later you will need to finish quests. Noko can be found in Sector 6J, she will gave you few quests to do. One of it will require to meet with Mito(Sector 5J). Mito will ask you to go to Glittermoth Grotto. After finishing his quest you will be able to catch them(also your counter will add those that were caught in mission) .
To find Glittermoth Grotto - if you are looking straight on Mito, you should go on a mount, go down the road, having big mountain on your right. Then turn right, road will go up. When you arrive to crossroads, you should see wall on your left with yellow climbing points. Go on wall, climb, go through line, climb again and you will find Cave. It's really easy if you pay attention to climbing points.
So now when you all reach Glittermoth Grotto let's talk about those bugs. Mostly, best to find them is on DUSK time.
How do You know if it's glittermoth? And not fireflies?
Glittermoth are shiny, white "butterflies" which looks exactly that:
Those are the only ones which counts for achievement.
Now to do this quickly - catch Glittermoth with
Then go to middle of the Cave, having Grotto entrance behind you, Psionic point ahead you should be able to see on your right place to jump:
Go there and a little bit down on your right you should see the shelf with camp and tench. Please check below image - on right Grotto shelf, on left camp shelf.
Just jump and glide there, use camp rest tilll DUSK, then go forward from camp side, jump few times(use mushroom ability if you need) and after 3 jumps(mountain on your right!) u will reach again climbing points which leads to Grotto.
Repeat as long as you catch all Glittermoths you need!

Glittermoths are just as they sound, small white moths that give off a glittering effect. The game will again bring you to a group of these as part of the story in a lovely place called Glittermoth Cave. These can spawn nearly anywhere in the game, but this cave has the best farming loop available. Run from the entrance of the cave (climb up the rock wall across from the cave, then tightrope across to the entrance) all the way past the Psionic Shrine to the end of the cave. Glittermoths, Pippis, and Sqvips all have a chance to spawn at either end of the cave. The location of the cave is found in this image in case you forgot where it was after doing the story mission.
Note: The animals in the cave only spawn during the day, so you can warp to the side character Mito nearby and follow the path to his left to find a campfire to rest at until morning to repeat the farming loop.
Capture 20 Glittermoths
Glittermoths are a moth/butterfly you are required to capture during one of the main quests before facing the Hoof Puff world eater. They look like a butterfly inside an area of other shiny butterflies.
You acquire 5 for the main quest from a specific location, then they become the most annoying of the animals to farm because they don’t respawn at that location again or seem to have any other sort of set spawn location like other animals. They can spawn basically anywhere in the game world, so the only way to catch them is to just randomly come across them. Make sure to always grab them if you see them while wandering around during normal gameplay, because they are frustrating to try and farm for later.

Glittermoths are like fireflies a round in the world. You will naturally stumble across these so interact with them by pressing to collect them. You will earn the trophy upon catching 20.

I caught a lot of Lights at night, nothing fell out.
I went to the Firefly Cave and ran back and forth during the day.
I caught about 20 white creatures that were in the cloud of butterflies.
You can catch up to 3 of these creatures per day, and Murbelok and Pips also respawn there, one at a time.

Night fireflies are not suitable !
Often spawns one at a time near a herd of mounts (where there are three knozles)
Collected while running through Yar-Fields

The Fireflies won't appear until you meet Noko. Complete tasks for her, then she herself will direct you to Yatozh (Mito). Complete his tasks, one of which will be to catch 5 fireflies. If you complete quests with Yatozh when you first meet him, but not in the direction of Noko, flies will not appear!
Farm flies only during the day! At night they do not count. At the top there is a video from riv666 on how to farm flies in a cave. It works, but personally, I had noticeably fewer flies spawning than in the video. Be patient.
