Personally, I had a far easier time using this code, rather than the one in the other solution.

It starts you on ice tracks which the computers handle particularly poorly in the definitive version. There is snow that slows racers down and the computer never tries to avoid it. Save a few boosts for if you get trapped in the snow to free yourself quickly.
Keep in mind the car you start with has homing bullets for the forward weapon. They are only slightly faster than racers but can seek in any direction. Using them in first place will hit racers behind you. If you're behind you can use it at intersections to hit first or second place. Be sure to spam it before the end of each lap before it refills your ammo.

In the Password section of main menu enter BFYR Q8Q5 5TJ! to go to last season of races. Simply earn enough points to “Advance Level” and you’ll complete the game without having to do the 10+ seasons before it. The Rewind feature is not available in the Definitive Edition.
