How to unlock the Long Range Menace achievement in Chivalry 2 - Definitive Guide
start an offline game with bots in The Fall Of Lionspire and play it until you reach the "DESTROY THE BANNERS" objective, once there choose the crossbowman class and shoot at the bots near the gate from the town square, sometimes if the blue team is winning the fight the bots will push down the bridge so you'll have to step back to make it 100 meters, video below.

I would like to suggest another spot, where I have obtained it in regular online play.
If you are attacking in Dark Forest, and you reach the goal of destroying the fort gate, you will have a pretty far away respawn point.
Shoot where your teammates gather the petards. There will always be fighting there.
You will have to shoot blindly (use arrow cam to see the closer fighting spot) but at least distance is guaranteed. I had a 138m kill. So you have plenty of margin compared to this method.

This worked for me too. Also, a team-kill seems to count, so just fire your shots into any crowd.

I .got my achievement on a Free For All , The Hippodrome map is much longer than any of the other FFA maps, and the bot players do like to stand around doing nothing which helps .

I ended up boosting this and it was very easy. You and your boosting partner go to the standalone server browser and look for a DUEL lobby with 0 players on the map HIPPODROME. We did this in an EU lobby since they were less full than NA but it doesnt need to be done in EU, just find a lobby that works for both of your pings. When you start you will be on horseback; double tap X to get off and have your partner go very far. Now coordinate the bow shots and help each other out til you both get it.
TLDR: Go to standalone servers, find a 0 person server on DUEL HIPPODROME, kill each other with bows and arrows from a long distance.
Should take 5 minutes or so to do this

Arrow Cam is your friend!
That said the way I did this was standing around at the border of "return to battlefield" zones, firing over trees and buildings and using arrow cam to see where it lands.
- Fun Fact, After the Cam switches back your default firing screen hasnt moved.
So just fire wildly into the air making little adjustments and EVENTUALLY you will hit someone, then If youre lucky, EVENTUALLY that person you hit will already be damaged, and the arrow will kill him.
I hit 3 dudes in the leg from 120m over a 10hr session before I finally got it done. Most map areas spawn you closer than 100m from the enemy, so you might need to back up a bit ;D
Ps. Ballistas Don't Count - Goodluck!

I unlocked this today pretty easily while grinding some of the other achievements in offline mode.
From the main menu:
Play > Offline tab > Offline Practice
Map Name: The Slaughter of Coxwell
Number of Bots: 16
Start the game, change to team Agatha and change your class to the Archer (Longbowman, Crossbowman doesn't seem to ever be unlocked in Offline mode like the other solution suggests). You'll begin as a villager, just run into one of the fires nearby and die so that you respawn as the Archer.
Head the opposite direction of the enemies and village, towards the castle gates. Align yourself just below the second big stone directly opposite of the tree on the right side.
Face back towards the village and aim slightly above and to the left of the flag. Hold for a bit to make sure your arrow will do more damage, then release to send your arrow. Make sure that you hold + after firing so that you see where you arrow is going and then adjust as needed to make it land near the gate entrance. If you run out of arrows there is a resupply crate just down the road towards the first house on the right side of the village.
There's usually a lot of fighting around this gate once the bots break it open in the first few minutes. Sometimes they bunch up and get stuck which creates the best opportunity for this achievement. Sadly how busy the area is entirely depends on luck, but I managed to get the achievement after testing different areas on the map while grinding these two achievements and got it well before either of them:
