How to unlock the Illusionist achievement in Deadfall Adventures - Definitive Guide
You can win this in either Treasure Hunt or Team Treasure Hunt mode. I'd recommend the Team variant as you can get more accomplished in each game. Lobbies take 30 seconds to launch regardless of the number of gamertags in them it seems. This is why I'd recommend Team - the time limit is 10 minutes as opposed to 5. If you are working on this solo, I'd combine this with to finish out your score.
My method:
Launch the game with 2 players - any more and spawns become random.
Find where your bot is and get as far away as you can. As long as you are a certain distance away, it will continually respawn in the same location. Every gun (barring the handguns) seem to kill my opponent in 3 bullets. I used the Thompson as it had more ammo while still being accurate enough. To do this you need to make a custom class. If you haven't already, you should for:
Respawn the bot over and over leaving the gold statues on the floor. As long as you are quick about the kill, the other account will not pick them up again. You have a couple of seconds of leeway. I never lost my group even when reloading the Thompson. Just be sure to be quick as these are vital. Once you have 32 kills (any more and the game will end when you grab the statues due to the score) grab the statues and start redeeming them.
You can do this at several places on each map. I used 'Oasis' as it was the most open map I could find. It worked well for trap kills as well. I noticed 3 places on that map where you can cash in those statues for a blessing (in-game bonus.) When you have statues to redeem, they have a particle effect around them to indicate they are usable. On Oasis, 1 is in the statue where the waterfall flows from the wall, another is inside the structure with no other entrance and it is directly in front of you when you walk in. The third is inside the structure with a trap on the staircase and glows bright white when you have statues to redeem. This one is right in front of a spawn point which you will likely find as you are redeeming blessings. Each blessing costs 2 statues. One of the blessings is Mummy Mode. This stops you from redeeming blessings. Either suicide by melee'ing a barrel or kill yourself with your other account. As a mummy you move very fast and jump very high. Repeat this process until you have redeemed 16 blessings. Your score should be 19,200 (unless you killed yourself with an explosive barrel.) This is enough padding for 6 trap kills (100 points each kill plus 50 points as a trap bonus) as the game ends when someone hits 20,000 points. A non-Team Treasure Hunt game lasts half as long (5 minutes - 10,000 points.)
At 16 blessings per game this will take 13 games with extra time for trap kills or 12 Team games and 1 non-Team game. It pops in game when you reach the 200th blessing. You can expect to get at least 78 trap kills if you use the shortest method (12 team / 1 non-team.)

I, vegansound (the boosting partner in this video), approve this! :-D I'm glad we both can help the community with this game's achievements, because solutions are rare.
