How to unlock the Difficulty Nightmare achievement in Edge Of Eternity - Definitive Guide
Difficulty achievements stack. As for nightmare itself it's very manageable.
- Can grind to level up which is nice. Don't bother with enemies more then 3 levels below you as the xp is minimal.
- Craft often as some of the best weapons and gear come from crafting. Final weapon tiers are the focus end game.
- Your focus should be speed and incantation speed
- Boss fights will be the most difficult. Whenever you struggle go grind a level or two. Can make a huge difference.
-Resting at an inn and choosing a meal will give you stat bonuses. Very useful for boss fights.
- If you get in a fight with several enemies just flee. They disappear so you can continue on. At most you should fight 4 enemies, maybe 5 at once if over leveled.
-Kinetic Barrier for Ysoris is a must have and should be kept up all the time.

That wasn't too bad. Only had trouble with a few bosses and the monkey raid. Basically like it mentions in the guide focus on keeping a 3+ level advantage and keep crafting the best gear you can make, preferably speed based. And keep your energy above 50, it's easy to lose track of and can quickly deplete during a boss fight and you still get some benefits of food buffs below 50 but the 0 adds huge debuffs particularly to speed which is not very helpful especially for the final boss.

The difficulty achievements stack so Nightmare being the highest will give all lower difficulty achievements according to the developer on Steam.
The difficulty achievements in this game will all stack, so starting and completing the game on Nightmare (10) difficulty will also reward Hard and Normal achievements. Increasing the difficulty does not really do much aside from increase the HP, damage, and resistance of your enemies but this makes battle considerably harder if you are not at least 3-4 levels above your enemies, especially on bosses. You will also need to ensure you are using proper battle tactics such as exploiting elemental weakness, positioning for back attacks, protecting your mage/healer, and using any battlefield items to your advantage.
In addition to your actual battle strategy and levels, be sure you always have the best possible equipment available to you, including finding and crafting the best weapons, and leveling those up to max before any bosses. You will then want to combine any gems you have to get the most stat increases and spells/attacks available so you can use nearly every elemental type with each of your characters. This again may take some grinding, though you should get most things required as you grind to be the 3-4 levels above the enemies as well.
As for your stats, be sure to focus heavily on Speed for all characters as this will charge your ATB meter more quickly, giving you more turns in battle which is key to outpacing the enemy in damage dealt. Haste for physical damage attacks and Incantation Speed for magic attacks is important as well. From there, give Daryon, Ysoris, and Fallon more attack, and balance everyone out with some extra defense and magic defense as well.
Once you complete the story and unlock all the difficulty-related achievements, you can lower the difficulty if you still have any other content to clean up.
