How to unlock the Those! achievement in Fallout 3 - Definitive Guide

Go to the superduper mart and wait around for a few hours. A little boy will come to you and ask you to find his dad. Head to the town Grayditch (or something like that) and enter the fathers house. When inside loot the body and enter the shack next door and pick up the hologram. GO talk to the kid again he will be down the street near the diner now. Tell the kid you will help him and then you will need to enter the marigold metro tunnels. Deeper inside the tunnels you will meet a scientist who will give you an optional quest you can do. Kill the Ant Queen's guardians without hurting the ant queen. I deeply recommend you do this cuz you get a nice perk when you finish the quest. When you go in and kill the guardians (which isn't too hard cuz none of them are that close to the queen) talk to the scientist again. YOu will be able to choose between 2 perks Ant Sight (PER+1 and 25% fire resistance) or Ant Might (STR+1 and 25% Fire Resistance.) After this go back to the kid (he may be in his house now) and talk with him. Find him a place to live (he mentions his aunt Vera who lives in rivet city.) Go there and talk to her (she is usually in the hotel since she runs the place). Return to the kid one last time and the quest is over.

You don't have to do the Rivet City section to get the achievement. Just tell him to go back to his own home in Grayditch and you get the achievement.

I'd just like to add a warning that towards the end of the quest, the kid can spawn in an inaccessible part of the map, making the quest impossible to complete. Possibly requires a new save game to be started, although it may be possible to fix by loading a save from before the glitch occured.

Khimarhi basically covered it, but I just thought I'd add: the Fire Ants occasionally drop fire Nectar, which increases your Fire Resistance for a few hours, like a drug. Consider using it if the ants' "napalm breath" is really pounding you.

This isn't a solution, it should be a comment to the above solution.

To begin this quest you will need to find a boy named Bryan Wilks who is usually just outside Grayditch. He will ask you to find his father in town. Their house is near the diner. Once you find him (dead) report back to Bryan who will most likely now be hiding in the Pulowski Preservation Shelter next to the diner (it is a big metal tube). You tell Bryan that you will stop the ants which will send you to the Marigold Metro Station. Navigate quite a ways until you find a small office with a Dr. Lesko inside. He will tell you about the experiments he is doing and ask you to deal with the situation by killing the ant queen's guards. You can either stop after killing the guards like he asks, or just kill the queen and be done with the situation. Either way you can now report to Bryan that the ants are done. However, Bryan now has no family and no place to live. He will ask you to find his aunt Vera who owns the hotel in Rivet City. Go there and ask he to take Bryan in. She will agree and upon delivering the news to Bryan back in Grayditch you will finish the quest.

See Those! for more specific info.

You get this Quest by talking to Bryan Wilks who can be found in random locations near the Super-Duper Mart but can also be found near the Diner in Grayditch itself. If for some reason he doesn't spawn, go directly to the Marigold Metro Station (which is to the Southeast of Grayditch) and talk to Dr. Lesko then Bryan will appear as a marker on your map (credit to Droooogie for this info). Once you've accepted the Quest, you have to go looking for Bryan's father. Getting through Grayditch won't be easy as there are Fire Ants everywhere and they are very hard to kill so make sure you're packing some serious firepower! When you find Bryan's father at the Wilks's home you will find he's already dead, loot the corpse and house of all useful items before leaving. Before you tell Bryan about his father, go to the shack next door and read all the files on the terminal to get the location of the Marigold Metro Station. Also ensure you pick up the "Dr. Lesko's Notes" Holotape from the table to your left as you enter his shack because there's vital info on it. Note: The Mission waypoint marker for Marigold Station may not appear so you'll have to set one manually.

After telling Bryan his dad is dead, go to the Marigold Metro Station. Once you enter the station, locate Dr. Lesko, follow his instructions and kill the five Guardian ants (Frag and Bottlecap mines will be of help you here so bring some with you) hack the terminal and choose the "Send Inhibitor Pulse" option then return to the doctor and claim your reward. As your reward you can choose either a Strength Boost or an increase for your Perception. The choice is yours as to which one you take but we recommend the Strength Mutagen as it gives you the Ant Might Perk which grants +25% Fire Resistance and +1 to Strength.

To finish the Quest and get the trophy, you now have to find a home for Bryan. When asked if he knows of anyone who will take him he will mention something about Rivet City but do not go there until the main story tells you to else you'll glitch out the Scientific Pursuits trophy. You can find a home for Bryan at Rivet City with his Aunt, Vera Weatherly (Good Karma) or sell him to Eulogy Jones in Paradise Falls (Bad Karma). Once you've found him a home and told him about it, the trophy will pop. Credit to The Great American Savior for confirming the final details on when the trophy is supposed to pop.

The quest is given by a boy named Brian Wilkes, located near the settlement of Grayditch. He will ask you to find his father, who has disappeared in the city. You will discover that your father died in his own home and after you inform Brian about this, you will need to stop the invasion of mutant ants from Marigold Station. Inside the dungeon you will find Dr. Lesko, who is the cause of the ant problem. You can either kill the guard ants as the doctor asks, or simply kill the queen. After you deal with the ants, return to Brian. The problem is solved, but Brian no longer has parents and now you need to find him a new home. Go to Vera, the owner of the hotel in Rivet City, and ask if she will take Brian in. After she agrees, return to Brian and the task will end.
