This is a pretty wide level and the purple light of the cage is not able to be seen right away.

Story Related, Can't Be Missed
The Small Town is the first level of the game and is by far the easiest, due to the wide open spaces and only minimal cover. The target girl is located at the far end of the map, in a cul-de-sac (as marked by the purple beam in the sky (LINK)) so make your way there and kill the requisite amount of Reapers (12) along the way. The level will end and the trophy will pop soon after you stand in the purple circle outside the girl's cage (as shown below):
