Each character has a gear slot you can use with unique grenades using the aiming, then throwing using .

Every map has ammo and gearbox resupply boxes located throughout.

Robin has a flash grenade that blinds the enemy
Tooke has a poison grenade that depletes stamina
Marianna has a smoke grenade
John has an explosive grenade

So therefore you can only do this effectively with Robin or Tooke but it can be obtained with Marianne or John if your teammate Robin or Tooke throws their grenade and it effects the opposing enemy player you've killed.
Usually around winch sites and capture points is where most players group up.
