This is earned by completing all of the side quests in the game, given to you by Mrs. Jacobs. She is the elderly woman standing next to the corral where you get your horse at the beginning of each day, and you will grow to HATE her.
She gives you two quests a day, all of which are overly long fetch quests. You will have to ride all the way across the map to get an item and bring it back to her, only to have her give you another quest to fetch another item that was virtually in the same location as the first one
No, you cannot stack up quests and no, there's no fast travel in the game. The only positive I can say is you don't have to worry about grooming your horse, I went the entire game only cleaning him up once and it never affected gameplay.

Good guide but you can earn this once you have completed the story - but like you say, only one quest at a time.

You should do this concurrently with the story, the first thing I'd go every day is accept a quest on the odd chance a location would align with a story quest: ANYTHING to cut down on the insane amount of backtracking you have to do in this game.
