How to unlock the Ardent Agriculturalist achievement in Legend of Mana - Definitive Guide

You will learn about using seeds and growing produce at your Home location very early in the story (Quest #5 to be exact), and will want to work on this throughout the game since the produce only grows as you move spaces on the overworld map. Some produce requires more movement than others (each square moved is one day passed and some take like 25+ days). Giving the tree two types of seeds at once will have specific chances to grow different produce, and there are 37 in total to grow. Once you have grown something, you must pick it and put it in the box to the right of the tree for it to count, and the tree will also reward you with some new seeds for everything you deposit.

See HERE for a complete list of the produce, the odds of getting a specific item based on the seeds used, and some general tips on where to find seeds. Once you get about 8-10 flat and spiny seeds, I'd suggest saving BEFORE giving the seeds to the tree, then letting them grow and seeing if you got anything new. If not, reload your save and try again to save those seeds as they are rather rare.

Note: There is no way to track which produce you have grown, so be sure to write down what you pick off the tree. You can check your inventory to see what produce you have, but since you can get produce from quests, enemy drops, and buying them in stores, that is not a foolproof way to check.

In order to get the trophy you need to grow all types of fruits.
After completing the quest The Mana Orchards, a tree will appear in your backyard, which you need to feed with seeds, from which fruits will grow. The picked fruit must be placed in a box before leaving the locations. There are 8 types of seeds:

1)Round Seed (blue color) is purchased from the seller in The Bone Fortess;
2) Oblong Seed (yellow color) is purchased from the seller in The Bone Fortess;
3)Crooked Seed (red color) is purchased from the seller in The Bone Fortess;
4)Big Seed (green color) drops from Lullabud;
5)Small Seed (orange color) drops from Lullabud;
6)Long Seed (purple color) drops from Lullabud;
7) Flat Seed (white color) rarely falls from Lullabud, the tree also gives it itself after harvesting.

Now let's look at the list of harvests: (rare fruits are highlighted in bold)
White (Flat Seed) - Garliccrown, Masked Potato, Pear O'Heels, Conchurnip, Mangolephant. ;
Purple (Long Seed) - Lilipods, Cherry Bombs, Orcaplant, Sweet Moai , Bellgrapes ;
Orange (Small Seed) - Spiny Carrot, Loquat-Shoes, Bumpkin, Honey Onion , Orange'Opus ;
Green (Big Seed) - Cabbadillo, Squalphin, Needlettuce, Boarmelon , Dialaurel ;
Red (Crooked Seed) - Apricat, Peach Puppy, Diceberry, Whalamato, Applesocks ;
Yellow (Oblong Seed) - Citrisquid, Springanana, Cornflower, Fishy Fruit, Rocket Papaya ;
Blue (Round Seed) - Heart Mint, Spade Basil, Pine O'Clock, Rhinoloupe, Gold Clover .
Below is a list of how to get rare fruits, but it all depends on the randomness, and it’s not a fact that the fruit you need will fall out exactly from this formula:

Gold Clover: Spiny + Round
Rocket Papaya: Spiny + Oblong
Apple Socks: Spiny + Crooked
Boarmelon: Spiny + Big / Big
Dialaurel: Spiny + Big
Honey Onion: Spiny + Small / Oblong + Crooked
Orange'Opus: Spiny + Small
Sweet Moai: Spiny + Long / Round + Long
Bellgrapes: Spiny + Long
Mangolephant: Spiny + Flat
Mush-In-A-Box: Round + Small
Toadstool Shed: Spiny + Big / Spiny + Small

The rarest seed is the Spiny Seed. It can be farmed from the Lullabud mob in the Luon Highway locations. For quick farming, I recommend getting yourself a Polter Box pet in the Junkyard locations. This pet will give you a buff during the battle (you need to be close to it and there will be a connection in the form of lightning between the character icons) which increases your chances of getting a rare item. In my case, things were constantly falling from mobs thanks to this pet. Having collected the required amount, we run to the tree, save and experiment, what happened was the wrong thing? We load up and use a new one. There is no counter, so we look in the inventory according to the list for those fruits that have not yet been collected.

Flat Seed is given by the tree itself after you have harvested the entire crop. I usually got these seeds in combinations Round/Crooked + Small Seed.
During the passage, periodically after the cactus, go into the garden and try different combinations, so after the story you won’t have to farm fruit for a long time.

PS After 60 fruits have been grown, you will be given the Golden Seed artifact, this is another exactly the same tree on which you can also grow fruits.

The rarest fruits are those that can only be obtained using Spiny Seed. You can try a combination like this:

Long Seed + Spiny Seed = Toadstoolshed (considered the rarest since the PS1 version)
Oblong Seed + Spiny Seed = Rocket Papaya
Round Seed + Spiny Seed = Bellgrapes, Dialaurel, Gold Clover
Crooked Seed + Spiny Seed = Orange'Opus, Applesocks, Bellgrapes

All other products are not particularly rare. You can use the Tree's "split" diet - come up for the first time - throw Flat Seed, select "finish" (next to the "Cancel" button). Then come up again - repeat Flat Seed and also finish. Based on the results of the grown harvest, you will most likely have the entire set of the “white” group, if it did not grow on the first try, repeat. With the second (if not the first) approach of this choice, Mangolephant will definitely grow.

The garden must be “clean”, that is, all the previous harvest has been harvested. It is better to throw experiments with Spiny Seed at once (ideally - 2 times in a row, i.e. they came up the first time - threw Oblong Seed + Spiny Seed, then immediately came up a second time and repeated Oblong Seed + Spiny Seed. The result should be a grown Rocket Papaya Another fruit from the “black” group, Mush-in-A-Box (Toadstoolshed is also “black”) can be obtained by the combination Long Seed + Long Seed (throw in one go)

Color combinations correspond to the mixture of colors in the palette:

yellow + red = orange
yellow + blue = green
red + blue = purple

That is, if you throw Round Seed + Oblong Seed Seed, you will get the same result as if you only threw Big Seed. This refers to the main color group of the resulting crop, since each result contains an error from neighboring groups. For example, if you throw “orange” Small Seed + Small Seed at once and repeat again, then the harvest will also contain a “red” group (dog peach or cubanica) and possibly a “purple” group (bombcherry)

Good luck to everyone and may the Great Random be merciful to you
