How to unlock the No Hope for the Future achievement in Legend of Mana - Definitive Guide

No Future is a difficulty setting that can be selected only in New Game+. Once you're in New Game+, proceed to your Encyclopedia in your study. Go to the Forbidden Tome and select it. You'll be asked a series of questions. Select "No","No", and finally "No" again. At that point you will now be in No Future mode and your trophy will unlock. If you wish to revert back to Normal so you can finish up any other trophies you need, simply open the Forbidden Tome again and select "Yes" on the first question.

Once you have completed the game, you will be prompted to save it. Do so and load that save to enter NG+ and once you have placed the Mailbox to build your Home location, go to the room on the right side of the bottom floor, and check the bookcase for your Encyclopedia. You will find a new entry called the Forbidden Tome. Select it and answer "No" to all three questions to turn on "No Future" mode and the achievement will unlock immediately. No need to actually play through NG+ at all.
