Absolutely one of the most annoying things I've done recently in a game. It's very inconsistent and infuriating.
Below is a video I found helpful for the 2nd and 3rd shots of the normal difficulty challenge. It is not mine and I take no credit, only sharing in the hope it is helpful.
The first shot, I actually recommend you line up yourself by eye and trial & error. Once you get the jist, it's not too difficult to replicate. The spin is not at all necessary.
The 2nd and 3rd however, the video is most helpful. Just remember the white must hit the yellow, which in turn must hit the red, while ANYTHING so much as sniffing a black ball is a fail. Upon sinking the final red my first time, my white ball so much as looked at a black and I failed, causing me to almost launch my controller into the stratosphere.
Stick with it, and you'll achieve the most pyrrhic victory in gaming's recent years.
Best of luck!

In the first shot is not necessary to hit the yellow ball. You can jump and directly hit the red. It takes a couple of tries to get the gist of it but I recommend it. Then you have 9 or 10 tries for the complete shit show that the 2nd and specially the 3rd are

Fair enough.
It's definitely required to do it in the way I described during the second shot, but as I said, the video method isn't required in the first shot either way so maybe chipping it is viable. I just never tried it that way haha

While the easy 1-Shot Challenge is just that: easy, the normal difficulty one is a bit tricky. The knack here is to take your time and carefully line up your shots, being sure to avoid the eight balls on the table, while aiming to pot the red ball into the designated pocket. Touch an eight ball or fail the shot and you’ll lose an attempt. You get 10 tries to perform all three trick shots in succession, and some require a fair bit of trial and error.
For Shot 1 you want to aim just slightly left of centre of the ramp to hit the yellow ball and plant the red ball. Shot 2, you need to bounce off the cushion and hit the yellow ball dead centre, making sure you have enough power on the shot to get the red ball over the little ramp and into the pocket, but not so much that the balls go flying off the table. Then Shot 3 is a case of tiny adjustments - again, try and hit dead-centre, then go for full power on this one. Just keep at it, and you’ll eventually get there - just prepare for a bit of frustration along the way.
