How to unlock the Crunchy company achievement in Loop Hero - Definitive Guide

This can only be obtained as the Necromancer class!

This character's whole thing is summoning skeletons.

There are items that will have the ability +Max Skeletons.
Look out for these as bonus effects, don't bother with the rings that have that as the only effect unless you are one or two skeletons short and have the items in storage.
Focus on Atk Speed so your summons are quicker. For this purpose it really helps to have Forest/Thicket Cards to increase your speed consistently to scale. (Build Forest in home Village)

Now here's the kicker. You can't actively control ten skeletons yourself!
This means you have to include the cemetery card (Build Cemetery in home village) in your deck.
Throw in a couple temporal beacons (Unlocked by reaching loop 12) as well to accelerate time and make more skeletons spawn in the cemetery.

Traits to look for:
Art of Control = +1 Skeleton
Edge of Impossible = 20% chance of two bonus skeletons when max limit reached
Horde = Start each loop with three upgraded minions

Synergy Notes:
Having thickets is amazing with Necro as they spawn Village? cards with wooden warriors. These enemies only retaliate and your character never attacks directly so its a source of free loot and if you have regen loot on free health!


This achievement is extremely high risk-high reward so practice with the Necromancer and be prepared to do a few wasted runs falling a skeleton or two short due to poor RNG. Good luck!

TruthfulSkate8's solution above is the best. I managed to get this on loop 7 of the second level, but I was extremely lucky. I got +1 skeleton on every piece of equipment and locked them, so at one point I had:

+2 rings, +1 grimoire, +1 shield and +1 amulet (+5 skeletons)

I got the following traits too: edge of impossible (20% chance to summon 2 skeletons at once...), art control (+1 to max number of skeletons) and horde (3 higher-quality skeletons every loop).

I put two cemeteries together on the sixth and seventh tiles with a temporal beacon. While standing in the camp, I equipped the items with +1 skeletons when I saw the cemeteries had two skeletons. My "Max skeletons" stat was 8 here. I also made sure to oblivion the enemies on the tiles from the camp to the cemeteries so I didn't lose the Horde trait before the real fight. Luckily enough one of the cemetery skulls had a challenge on it, which made it more resistant and allowed all my skeletons to spawn.

I made a separate save to have as many chances as possible but it wasn't necessary. Good luck!

Does the archer skeleton enemies from 2 tiles apart count for this ? They do join battles next to their tile.

@hydra yes the skeleton archers count as they're just another level of the skeletons. They only spawn as enemies in round four but they count as your summons in earlier expedition levels as well.

So if they have 5 skeletons and I summon 2… and kill one before I summon my total 5…. I can’t get it cause that’s 9 at one time on the screen?
This seems impossible lol

@Truthful - the issue with the warriors is purely atk spd. They will not hit you if you have a high enough speed to keep skeles out as they will only target them and not you. If you got killed by them your summoning speed was not high enough. I play Ancestral crypt over arsenal because I don't use meadows with Necro.

I just got this one, as far as I can tell after lots of failed attempts it has to be chapter 4, and apart from the tips in the solution what worked for me was to put 3 cemetaries next to each other and surround them with temporal beacons to spawn more skeletons, and have archers from the next tiles also join in.

The tricky part is to actually survive the onslaught long enough for all your skeletons to spawn in, AND for them to not die before you can summon them all.

I finally got it on loop 24 of chapter 4, when 5 enemy skeletons spawned in, and I managed to survive long enough to get 5 of my own in.

I can also confirm that this is possible in chapter 2. I got mine in chapter 2 - loop 13. I had 8 max skeletons (which includes 1 from Art of Control), and I had “Horde”. I did NOT have Edge of Impossible. Having a cemetery near the camp is very helpful so you have your Horde skeletons ready to go. I made a save file, plus a back up save so I can bounce back and forth and copy between them to keep trying.

The fight I entered had 2 rat wolves, and 2 skeletons. I had my 8 skeletons and the 2 enemy skeletons were already killed and revived as the “Cracked” variant, so in case anyone is wondering, yes the Cracked skeletons count. I didn’t even have beacons or crystals on the map tile where I got this because I wasn’t planning in advance for it. Once I saw I had the necessary gear for 8 skeletons I just went for it. Nothing fancy. Here is the video:

If skeletons die too fast, put a ton of towns in a row and you'll upgrade the skeletons to Boss status. Extra 200 percent health. I got 3 bosses in a single encounter this way.

Just zap the bandit camps or your gear will get stolen a lot.

A few tips do this on stage 4 build crypts and use the temporal beacon to increase spawn speed I used the crystal that doubles the effect of a day. I got it when I thought 4 skeletons and they had an archer skeleton from the crypt next door so just stack attack speed and rivers, try to get it so you can summon 4 skeletons with max summon +

very easy to do...
just build two better three+ cemeteries next to each other be under temporal beacon and chronocrystals to spawn more faster
necro starts with 2 skeletons
use arsenal to get an extra equipment slot
trait +1 skeleton
five gear with +1 skeleton. you can do 8 skellies

I did it with 6 skeletons and 3 cemeterys in a row (essential for skeleton archers) with a temporal beacon covering them. I also had the trait that makes the days pass 15% faster so skeletons would spawn quicker and the+1 skeleton trait for me.
Going full extra skeletons gear made my skeletons underleveled and vulnerable but I just managed to get my 6th skeleton spawned as the enemy had 1 remaining with 3 archers.

Tried this for over 10 hours now, this isn't working. What expedition do you try this on, what loop, and should it be done before or after the boss? Do you use Arsenal for more equip slots that may have max skeletons? or do you pick Ancestral crypt for better survivability?
Why the hell is everyone saying the wooden warriors are harmless? I was killed by them specifically, a mob of four on expedition 3, loop 11. 344% attack speed, above par stats, was strong enough to beat the hunter, and still got wrecked by the golems. I have refuse spawning of pretty much most enemies like this because of the OP abilities added to them.

Got it on Ch.3, loop10, before boss (stop placing tiles to stall). I used Arsenal for the extra slot.
Place 2 cemetaries (temporal beacon too) next to each other anywhere BUT the 4 road tiles near your camp. Stupid watchtower allies prevent your skeleton archer allies from spawning!

Lock every piece of equipment that has Max Skeletons +1 with the B button. Hang onto them until ready to attempt the achievement. Equip more useful gear until then, since usually the equipment with that perk falls behind in other stats.

I did rely on the trait for 20% chance to spawn bonus skeletons. Reload save before battle ends to prevent autosave or manually copy, since random chance.

Had 7 max skeletons stat (can't really get them all out at once before an enemy dies). 4 ally skeletons + 4 ally archers + 1 enemy (one died) + 1 archer = 10.

If you get horde trait (3 upgraded skeletons at start of loop), place the cemetaries just outside the watchtowers range, after the campsite, and have no battles prior. You automatically have 3+ skeletons from the first second that way.

A necromancer can place a maximum of 8 skeletons, that is, the enemy needs at least two skeletons.
A map for the "cemetery" road is suitable for this.
We place two or three in a row and 2-3 skeleton archers will be guaranteed from the next cell.
To make the necromancer place skeletons more often, increase your attack speed. Objects and/or river+thicket/forest will help with this
