Easy method. Go to settings and at accessibility options scroll all the way to the bottom and select "always on beat". Just enter a level and start shooting without getting hit. Unlocks arent disabled in this mode. Best use the skull (paz) so enemies dont die as fast and you get more hits in.

What an odd concept this game has. It's pretty much Guitar Hero with sword hits, gun fire and fireballs from Paz. Hah.
