How to unlock the All About Hustle achievement in MLB The Show 21 - Definitive Guide

Start an Exhibition game and pick the Pirates as the Home team, Dodgers as Away, you'll be playing for the Dodgers so you can bat first. When the game starts, pause -> Settings -> Sliders and adjust the following:

Human Contact - All the way to the right
Human Power - All the way to the right
Human Timing - All the way to the right
Human Foul Frequency - All the way to the left
Human Solid Hits - All the way to the right
Human Starter Stamina - All the way to the right (this is not necessary, but it helps the pitching go faster)
Human Pitcher Control - All the way to the right (this is not necessary, but it helps the pitching go faster)
Human Pitcher Consistency - All the way to the right (this is not necessary, but it helps the pitching go faster)
CPU Contact - All the way to the left
CPU Timing - All the way to the left
CPU Foul Frequency - All the way to the left
CPU Solid Hits - All the way to the left
CPU Starter Stamina - All the way to the left
CPU Reliever Stamina - All the way to the left
CPU Pitcher Control - All the way to the left
CPU Consistency - All the way to the left
Fielding Errors Infield - All the way to the right
Fielding Errors Outfield - All the way to the right
Throwing Errors Infield - All the way to the right
Throwing Errors Outfield - All the way to the right
Fielder Run Speed - All the way to the left
Fielder Reaction - All the way to the left
Fielder Arm Strength Infield - All the way to the left
Fielder Arm Strength Outfield - All the way to the left

When you're at bat, just focus on getting base hits. I mainly focused on Contact Hits cn_B, as I found that Power Hits cn_X produced more home runs, but also more fly-outs. Once your first player has reached four instances of getting a base hit, and the next player is up to bat, the achievement should pop.

Upvote, thank you. Corey Seager did the job in the 5th.

I thought I was clever and simmed every half inning to skip the pitching.
Confirmed that nulls the achievement, so you do have to play the entire inning for it to count. Otherwise worked perfectly!

I had 5 players all on 4 or more hits at the end of a 9 innings match but still no achievement 🙄

The infield and outfield settings are irrelevant.

@MRWhite2U The infield and outfield settings make it more likely for extra plate appearances via errors or beating out ground balls, giving you more chances at ABs to get hits. They aren't irrelevant.

I got 6 hits in a game in Road to the Show, and it didn't pop.

I went 7-7 with a Marlins player against NY and it didn’t pop -.-

I wonder if they patched it so you can no longer use sliders

After having a few 4 hit games where it did not pop, this finally popped after hitting for the cycle in a game. Single, double, triple, home run.

I have gotten 4 hits with my player twice and have never touched the sliders and it still won’t pop. Major issues with Cheetos not popping from what I’ve read. I’m missing three maybe 4. Can’t remember if I walked off in a game or only in moments.

Hello, ladies and gents. Today we are looking at the "All About Hustle" achievement in MLB The Show 21, for getting 4 hits with a single player in a single game.

There are a few things to know beforehand. Hitting is ultimately difficult, even with sliders in our corner. You may have to do this more than once to get the achievement, and there's no way around that. I believe this is the best setup and sliders and settings to get you the achievement as consistently as possible, but the game is built on a simulation engine, and there are thousands of variables that are considered, so don't lose heart if it doesn't work right away.

The video below details everything well, but I'll detail things in text here as well.

We are going to be stacking our best Major League team against one of the worst minor league teams in the game.

First, though, head to Settings - Settings - Gameplay and make sure the Batting and Pitching difficulties are at Beginner, and that the Gameplay Style under General settings is Casual.

Back out and apply the settings, then hit Settings - Sliders.

Dynamic Difficulty - all the way LEFT
Human Foul Frequency - all the way LEFT
EVERYTHING else Human - all the way RIGHT
CPU Foul Frequency - all the way RIGHT
EVERYTHING else CPU - all the way LEFT
Fastball/Offspeed Pitch Speed - matter of preference. I prefer them to the right, but its likely best to set these all the way LEFT
All Errors - all the way RIGHT
All Fielder - all the way LEFT
All Baserunner - all the way RIGHT
Last 3 - all the way LEFT

IF you are still struggling, you CAN go into the rosters and make all of the hitters on the team you want to use powerful by raising their attributes. It isn't necessary, and will take probably 30 minutes to do so, but should be considered as an option if you'd like. I won't be detailing that process here.

Now head to Exhibition Mode, select the team on the right and find the San Francisco Giants. Hit LB until the Flying Squirrels are selected, then move to the team on the left and make them the LA Dodgers (or whatever team you changed the rosters of, if you did that). Uniform and Stadium do not matter, but make sure the presentation mode is "Fast Play" and 9IP. Turn the extra inning runner off to help prolong the game, though we probably won't have to worry about reaching extra innings as we intend to score a ton of runs. Keep everything else at their defaults.

Now pick Clayton Kershaw as your pitcher and keep the lineup as is. Pitching isn't the goal but we do have to do it, as simming sometimes invalidates the achievement. I got this in Road to the Show mode, but others have said they didn't, so I'm offering this solution as a standalone.

Use whatever hitting and pitching modes you are comfortable with, and when you are up to bat, do everything you can to get hits, keeping track of which players got hits and which didn't. You can pause the game, go to Stats and the Box Score of the Dodgers to check the H column for hits if you lose track. There is unfortunately a bit of luck involved. You're just going to attempt to get as many hits as possible, and with the sliders the way we have them, you have a good chance, but it isn't a guarantee.

As a pitcher, just get outs. Nothing more to worry about on that end.

If you have made it to the 7th inning and no one has 2 hits, you might as well restart, and you'll begin the game with the same settings. If you struggle too much, again, feel free to change the roster attributes of players to increase their abilities as well.

Once a player gets their 4th hit, the achievement will pop.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Just wanted to note that this can be done in Retro mode. I did it with retro mode because the games are faster.
