How to unlock the Mowing Them Down achievement in MLB The Show 21 - Definitive Guide
Choose a good pitcher such as Clayton Kershaw with the Dodgers and load up an exhibition game. Choose the home team on the left side when selecting teams if you want to pitch first.
When in-game, pause. You can choose to turn down "CPU" batting sliders such as contact, power, etc. I recommend Pulse Pitching for this since it's easy to accurately throw.
This can be obtained even if the other team gets a hit, walk, or flyout. You will face 9 batters and need to strike out 6 before the 4th inning.

Hello there, ladies and gents. Today we are looking at the "Mowing Them Down" Achievement. I have a video below that combines this achievement with the "Winning in Style" achievement, as you can do both in a 3 inning game. I will explain, in text, how to get the Mowing them Down achievement alone.
You need to record 6 of the first 9 outs of the game via the strikeout. This can seem daunting, but I have compiled a method that should easily get you this achievement.
First, head to Settings - Settings - Gameplay and make sure your Hitting/Baserunning and Pitching difficulties are Beginner level, and go to the general tab and make sure you are playing on Casual Gameplay Style. Press B a few times to back out and A to Apply Settings if they changed.
Now go to Settings - Sliders, and follow these:
Dynamic Difficulty - All the way LEFT
Human Foul Frequence - All the way LEFT
EVERYTHING else Human - ALl the way RIGHT
CPU Foul Frequency - All the way RIGHT
EVERYTHING else CPU - All the way LEFT
Fastball/Offspeed pitch speed - matter of preference. I prefer them all the way up, but for achievement purposes you probably want them all the way LEFT
All Errors - default
EVERYTHING below - all the way LEFT
These can also be used for the Winning in Style achievement.
Head to the Create Menu, then Roster Control, and finally Edit Player. Find the Starting Pitcher on whatever team you want to use and increase their stats to 99. Leave pitch velocity to these metrics. If its a fastball, turn Velocity to 99. Changeup stays at 0, and I left other pitch speeds at their default. All other pitching options should be increased to 99. Don't worry about the batting/speed/defense attributes.
Now go to Exhibition mode, select the team on the left, and find the San Francisco Giants. Now hit LB to make them the Flying Squirrels. Return to the team on the right, and I recommend being the LA Dodgers as they have the best roster top-to-bottom. Uniform and stadium don't matter, but make sure the Fast Play presentation mode is active.
Once you get into the game, your goal is to strike out hitters. Use whatever pitching style you prefer, and follow the pitch selection and location the game recommends. If you use Classic mode, it sometimes does this weird camera angle where it makes you select a pitch and but doesn't give you a location. If that happens, pick a 4-seam fastball and throw it off the plate, as far away as you can. Giving up runs and walks and hits doesn't matter. Your goal is to get strikeouts. Let fly balls drop into play. Don't throw runners out on ground balls. If it isn't a strikeout, then it hurts us. We have a bit of wiggle room, but out goal is Ks. If you are doing this with the "Winning in Style" achievement, be careful of giving up too many outs. Trying to get both in the same game can be a bit more frustrating.
For hitting, just hold down the Y button. You will consistently bunt and get yourself thrown out. You can also tap the LB when the baserunner approaches first in case you are safe, to make them run to second base and get tagged there. Just make sure you don't score any runs. You can also just sit and take pitches until you strike out, although it will take a little longer.
Our goal is to make it through the Top of the 3rd inning with 6 strikeouts. If you don't, pause the game, go to Exit, and restart with the same setting, or if there's something you think should be changed, give it a shot, but this setup gives you the best ability to get your achievement.
Once the 6th batter has struck out, you will pop the achievement.

I was able to get this in my third game on the mound in RTTS using classic pitching (where you select the pitch and then point and press ).
