Start the "Olympic Games" mode in single player, offline and succeed on the Qualifiers, Semi-Finals and come in first in the Finals. The AI difficulty ramps up on each level, so choose the sport in which you do the best and refer to the tips.
Hammer Throw is an easy event to win an Olympic Event with, if you emphasize full rotation (focus on keeping the stick on the outside rotation edge, rather than on speed) and get a perfect release, the throw should be >90 which is higher than the AI athletes can achieve. If you achieve a throw higher than 90, then you can foul the remaining attempts to save your wrists in real-life, which also speeds up gameplay by not playing the full flying animation. It takes about 6 minutes for each Hammer Throw gold medal.
While the main menu calls everything that isn't "Ranked" or "Practice" an "Olympic Games", the only way to pop this achievement is to play "Olympic Event" in single player offline, which will take you through "Qualifiers", "Semi-finals" and "Finals".
