How to unlock the Doctor Fantastic achievement in PAYDAY 2 - Definitive Guide
Required Level: 20-30
Required Skills: none
Useful skills: Mastermind: Dominator (Basic, Ace) Tier 3, Smooth Talker (Basic) Tier 3, Technician Silent Drilling (Basic, Ace) Tier 4, Ghost: ECM Specialist (Basic) Tier 4, ECM Overdrive (Basic, Ace) Tier 5
this works 90% of the time if you play the job with 1 gold star, but it can happen that 2 engines will meet the requirements, then you have a 50/50 to get the right one
If you play the job with 2-3 Gold stars the hints will spawn outside of the labour room , known locations are Bedroom (2nd floor), Billiard Room (1st floor) and office (2nd floor)
On day 1 are 6 different random drops on the desk in the house
1) Key
2) Key Card
3) Blue Print
4) Shutter Code
5) Cold Fusion description
6) Info that shows a picture of 2 guards
drops from day 1 are not needed, but some of them are useful like the Key card to open all server rooms quickly
On day 2 are 3 different hints to get the right engine, all located in the labour room (1 gold star)
1) clip board number 1 (possibilities: Helium, Nitrogen, Deterium)
2) next clipboard shows us how many cables are going to the hydrogencan (possibilities: H, 2xH, 3xH)
3) and last the screen shows us how much bar the engine needs, I think it's always around 5812psi (400 bar) (possibilities: 5812psi, <=5812psi, >=5812psi)
so in that case the right engine has a green gascan, 3 cables to the hydrogencan and more or equal than 400 bar
If you want get sure if it is the right engine you can check it with that site

(1) So... On day 2 of the Big Oil job you find a Notebook in the Lap that tells your the Color of the Can.
* Helium = Blue Can
* Deterium = Blue Can
* Nitrogen = Green Can
Optional: Pack every Engine that don't have a the your Color Can. I got Nitrogen = Green.
(2) Next we search for a Clipboard (also in the Lap).
* 1x H = One Nozzle
* 2x H = Two Nozzles
* 3x H = Three Nozzles
That tell you how many Nozzles are connected two the big Blue can. In this Example: two. Now pack does away, that have one and three Nozzles.
(3) For the last Part you need to find this Monitor (careful can be destroyed)
That tell you that Prototype Pressure is
* <= 5812psi --> exactly or below 400 Bar
* = 5812psi --> exactly 400 Bar
* >= 5812psi --> exactly or greater 400 Bar. Now we know that the Prototype has a Green Can connected, uses two Nozzles and the Pressure Level should be below or exactly 400 Bar

So annoying people just trying every engine :@
Big Oil job is a Pro Job, meaning that if you fail you won't be able to restart it immediately. This is quite an interesting trophy, as it is in fact a puzzle. Once you reach the lab in Day 2 of Big Oil, you'll find 12 fusion reactors scattered around the place with different coloured gas tanks attached, all with varying numbers of nozzles connecting the coloured gas tanks to the blue hydrogen tanks, as well as a bar reading on the gas tank. Only one of these fusion reactors is correct, and you must use a few clues within the room to solve the puzzle.
To figure out what colour gas tank it is, you must find a spiral-bound notebook within the building, either in the lab or on a table or desk in the house itself. On the notebook will be the name of a gas element: Deuterium, Helium or Nitrogen.
Once you know the element, you can compare it with the whiteboard in the lab to find out the colour of the gas tank: Deuterium is blue, Nitrogen is yellow and Helium is green.
After you've learnt the colour, you next to need to find out how many nozzles are attached to your coloured gas tank. Somewhere throughout the house or lab you will find a clipboard which will say either "1xH", "2xH" or "3xH" on the bottom left. This indicates how many hydrogen nozzles are attached to your coloured gas tank.
Once you've learnt how many nozzles are attached, you have one last task: figuring out the correct bar reading on the gas tank. Inside the lab you will find a monitor with a green graph on it that has a psi number in the the top right corner. The number will read either 5812 psi (equal to 401 bar), or 5783 psi (equal to 399 bar). Along with the psi reading, there will also be either a greater than or equal to "≥" symbol, or a lesser than or equal to "≤" symbol. This indicates whether the reading on the coloured gas tank is greater than, lesser than or equal to the psi reading. Therefore, you know the bar reading is one of four:
- ≥5812 psi = bar reading above or equal to 401
- ≤5812 psi = bar reading below or equal to 401
- ≥5783 psi = bar reading above or equal to 399
- ≤5783 psi = bar reading below or equal to 399
With all 3 pieces of the clue, you can find exactly which fusion reactor is the correct one. Bag it up, then take it to the helicopter. You'll move very slowly with the fusion reactor, so it is recommended you have someone cover you. If you managed to stealth to the fusion reactor, the alarm will sound when you deliver it to the helicopter to test it. Once the helicopter returns and confirms that it is the correct fusion reactor, you'll receive the trophy.
On occasion, you may encounter 2 "correct" gas tanks - that is 2 that fit all 3 clues. This can occur with:
- Helium (green), 2 nozzles, ≥5783 psi
- Helium (green), 3 nozzles, ≤5812 psi
In the event this happens, you have no choice but to simply guess. You'll have a 50% chance of getting it right, at least.

In order to buy the contract on Crime.net, Big Oil costs between $3,525,000 (Hard Pro) and $8,550,000 (Overkill Pro) from your off-shore account.
You will have to complete day 1 of the Big Oil job to play day 2 in either Crime.net or Crime.net Offline. There are five roaming guards and a small number of cameras. You can get four guards to submit; the 5th guard will have to be killed and his pager answered. Once the guards are down, you need to find the server room. Fully upgraded ECM Jammers will make this easier since the server room spawns randomly behind 1 of 3 security doors. While you're waiting on the override to open the door to the basement, look around for clipboards. They will contain clues to help you figure out which engine is the right engine. It is probably a good idea to either avoid or break the cameras (only break them if you've already taken all 5 guards out of the picture).
It is recommended to do this mission stealthily so you can avoid any further police force and concentrate more on figuring out the correct engine. If you are unsuccessful at sneaking your way through you can still succeed on the day, you will have to run back upstairs frequently to turn the lights back on and then you will be under heavy assault. Once you enter the basement, pay close attention to the points below which will help you choose the correct engine; the correct engine changes every time you play the job. Also, note that the clues are random spawns too. They may be down in the basement, they may be up in the house, and you may only find 2 instead of all 4.
- One clipboard will have the name of the gas written on it.
- Another indicates how many hoses will be connected to the large blue tank written on it - "# x H" in the bottom left of the clipboard. The number signifies the number of hoses that will lead to the top of the larger tank. ex. 2 x H means there will be 2 hoses, 3 x H = 3, 1 x H =1.
- In the entry area at the bottom of the stairs is a big white board, it says which propellant has which bottle color. Now you can identify the bottle color of the engine you are looking for. You should be looking for the small bottles in the engine. They can either be blue, green, or orange. (You may want to bag and drop all the wrong colored ones to make it easier to run around and compare the right colored ones with the other clues)
- One of the PCs has the PSI displayed in the top right corner. The display will shut off after a while!!! You need to use the PSI to calculate the bar value. Take the PSI value, divide it by 10 and multiple it by 0,7. For example: 5812PSI /10 *0,7 = 406 bar. Now look for an engine with that bar value (there is a dial attached to each engine that shows how many bar it has.)
Once you pick the engine you think is the correct one, bag it, and bring it back to the airstrip. Wait for the helicopter to pick the engine up, and throw it in once it arrives. It will take roughly three minutes until you hear back whether it was the correct engine or not; until then the alarm will go off no matter what meaning you'll have to hold out. The achievement will unlock after it has been confirmed that you picked the right engine through the radio
On the second day, you must find and open with the key (If you found it) a room with a computer. The key is valid only once!! If the first time you find the wrong door, then simply look for other doors and open them with a drill. When you find the computer, turn on the computer and wait until it opens the door to the basement. After the door to the basement opens, run down and look for a computer with PSI data ( This is what it looks like )
Then look for two notepads on which one of these words will be written. ( Here is an example )
Nitrogen = Yellow can
Deterilim = Blue can
Helium = Green can
The second notepad will have one of these messages written on it. ( Here is an example )
3x H (Three hoses must be connected)
2x H (Two hoses must be connected)
Then calculate the data from the computer. And you will determine the right atmosphere (This site will help you )
By calculating the atmosphere, the color of the cylinder and the required hoses. find suitable engines.
When you find the engine, take it to the runway and wait for the helicopter.
When you load the engine into the helicopter, run straight to the basement and wait for the result.
If you have chosen the right engine correctly. The trophy will pop out immediately.
