How to unlock the Most Wanted achievement in PAYDAY 2 - Definitive Guide

Some of you might see this as cheating but it's an exploit on bad coding.

Play the Level Rats 3 yellow stats in NON ProJob (0,1, and 2 Stars will work just less exp. Do this in CRIME.NET OFFLINE... Get to the last mission where you have to kill the Mandozas(sorry not right spelling). Run up to the bus, kill them all, then run out to extraction point! Get your money Exp. and flip a card! But DO NOT hit A to continue to lobby. Instead press start, restart game, repeat! Easy Exp. and you get to flip a lot of cards!

Hey just a few points to make this quicker and easier.

- You can do this on any contract so if you don't feel comfortable with Rats Overkill do it on an easier difficulty or a different contract. ie get to the last day restart before returning to lobby.

- Once you get the hang of Rats on overkill, use no armor, Shinobi skill and Stamina (Ghost and Mastermind)

- Use the bottom middle ammo skill in Enforcer. ACED it lets you fire without using up ammo for 10-15seconds. As you are approaching the buss next to the last concrete barrier start holding LB to drop an ammo pack infront of the light post. Check your armor is full and sprint to the bus and hold down the trigger. Much faster.

- Use the AMR once you can get it. Normally you might run out of ammo while being fired upon so you might want to use a gun with a bigger clip but the previous point will solve that problem.

- Most important. Once you are sick of getting so many mask cards and you have all the mods you require forget the stupid cards. Waiting for the card means this will take 2-3mins all up including loading times. If you can get back to the chopper by 38-40secs by using the ammo pack method then you can do each run in one minute including lading times. From re-start to re-start. Basically you can re-start the second you get to the chopper and see the end of mission background. Check this by noting your experience and when you get to level 25, 50, and 75 notice the achievement pops the seconds you get to the end of mission screen, not after going through all the money, experience, and pick a card.

- By skipping the card and going from re-start to re-start in 1 minute you should get roughly 2,220,000 xp per hour. From 85 is about the halfway point so it would take roughly 5hrs from this point. I am working this out from the 37,000xp you get everytime after level 70. Before 70 you might get a bit less due to the skill reduction.

- It was previously posted it takes 23,000,000 xp to get to level 100 so it should take around 10hrs to get to level 100 from 0 but this is not including reduced xp and the fact you will get xp doing other things. Personally I boosted the xp from level 30 so I could get all the skills I needed and then do the other achievements. I am level 87 now with 13,000,000xp. 10mil to go, just to give you an idea.

Good luck :)

I have not tested this, but it might be more beneficial to make as many bags as you can in the first day and then steal it back on the second day. This should increase the final Pay so when the mission ends, you will receive additional EXP and money.
Then, just restart the mission like usual.

Avoid the Bane update at all costs, the exploit no longer works and there is potential to completely to wipe your save if the game decides not to register it.
There is a message saying save is not compatible requires dlc, if you wish to continue it will erase progress.
You can dashboard at this point to stop that happening but I can't seem to round the error message at the moment.
I will try redownloading the game and update tomorrow to see if it works.
Again if you haven't already got it,
AVOID BANE UPDATE!

EDIT 31-10-2014:
This method does NOT work with the "Bane has an update for us DLC" As you won't be able to restart missions when you're in the completion screen. They have updated the amount of XP you get but it's still a lot faster using this method! (37.118 xp per min vs 330.000 per 12 min)

This solution is to give some extra info on the above Rat Job mission. All credit goes to them. This is merely a more refined approach to this method!

EDIT: The video in the other solution does not show any level reduction from level 50 onward. For me the level reduction was still showing but probably this was because I did not refresh. So the level reduction stayed a fixed amount until I did

If I remember correctly the max xp that will be given is obtained at level 60 / 61. Meaning the amount of total xp earned every time will no longer increase. Now the amount of xp I got was exactly 37118. I was able to do this every 55-70 seconds.

The amount that the video shows is 30080 xp in about 97-110 seconds. From level 60 onwards it will take you about 19h to do. If you follow my specifications it will only take you just under 10h to do

Specifications:
Before starting
-This guide is assuming you are at least level 60 (this is only 11% of the total amount of xp anyway) But you can of course be a lower level.
(because the 3 yellow star rat job might appear but the level reduction is still applied until this level)
-This guide excludes all reboot times (meaning the time taken to GET to the 3rd rat job day)
-Respec all the way to this (don't worry you'll earn enough millions using this boosting method anyway)
Note that the orange marked are optional and the red marked are mandatory!
Mastermind

Enforcer

Ghost
https://www.dropbox.com/s/cixezoxz259jfil/Ghost.jpg?dl=0
-Note that the fast learner is aced, and that the upgrades for armor, stamina and sprinting speed are applied as well!
-Optional: use the locomotion sawed off shotgun and upgrade it as much as you can
-Optional: use the copy the save file method if you don't like respecking, the level 100 is only required for this and the level 75 achievements. The rest you can do with lower levels and it's actually easier then as well. Meaning you can reach level 100 seperately as none of the achievements are tied into this.

Day 3 itself
-Do not wear any armor on day 3
-Have the turret equipped on day 3
-Check your level in the bottom left corner of the 'ready up' screen- this will be your way of tracking
-Immediatly run left as shown in the video, this is the fastest and most protected route
-While at the bus, shoot the 0-3 guys near the bus drivers seat
-Entering the bus: only step on the middle of the small stairs, do not go beyond that or you are likely to go down which adds another 20 seconds to your run
-Place the turret in the middle of the pathway but behind the driver's seat area. (Behind the flaps / doors that protect you if you will)
-Run back the same way you came
-Do not run over the circle but stop as soon as you reach it, shaving another second off

Times:
-2-15 sec Running to the bus
-16-19 sec Shooting the 0-3 guys in the front
-21-32 sec Running back
-23-28 sec Escape becomes available
-33-55 sec Restart as soon as you see the word Income in the blue screen, it will be saved. Loading times. Press ready while you catch a glimps of your level

However if you like to get mods, follow the video above. This gives 3 problems however:
1) You hardly get the item you want so only do this if you NEED something like a silencer (however I still prefer melee over the silencer since a silenced shot can still be heard)
2) This takes 40 extra seconds every time
3) It appears huge in your screen to press a to continue to menu, I myself had many times that I had a mind glitch and pressed a instead of start!

I hope this gives enough info and I also hope this gives you some more comfort boosting this achievement

Yeah. From the time the loading screen fades and I'm on the bridge to my next game starting it was like a minute and 4 seconds. Pretty helpful solution, man.

I did make a slight alteration to your build, though. In the tech tree, instead of acing 'Demolition Man', I aced 'Hardware Expert', as that allows you to deploy the sentry gun 50% faster. Same point distribution, it just benefits the run.

If you're going to end up grinding this in mumltiple sittings, you can opt to ignore the Enforcer tree until later to get the shaped charges from Technician instead, considering all you're getting out spending nine points in the Enforcer tree is 10% health and shaving off four tenths of a second on your armor recharge. Shaped charges are really helpful for day 2 and/or the garage escape if you get stuck with it, because being able to sprint up into the apartments from the get-go and blow safes open to finish within 2 minutes saves a ton of hassle. The soonest you'll have enough skill points to have both the shaped charges and the solution's recommended Enforcer spec is level 67.

I personally prefer the Mark 10 SMG over the Locomotive for this. I basically fell in love with that Locomotive shotgun for cleaning up just about everything else in the game, but when unarmored and wading hip deep into the shit at high speed, missing a shot with that shotgun is going to get you downed (and does get me downed at least 85% of the time). The Mark 10 is low on ammo but high on damage, so you can take care of the 3-4 people that you need to each run without the issues that a semi-automatic shotgun can cause for you.

I've also made a quick spreadsheet that will calculate the amount of time you have left, among other things. White cells are safely editable, all colored cells are fixed values or calculations. Use File > Make a Copy or File > Download As to obtain an editable version of the spreadsheet, because due to how Google Spreadsheets works with collaborative real-time edits, I am trying to avoid having many people trying to edit my sheet at the same time. The "Time to 100" cell will read "AM" at the end due to the function it uses, but this is an elapsed time; the "7:30:05 AM" in the original sheet means 7 hours and 30 minutes of bus running to hit 100.

Most Wanted Achievement

To get to 100 I recommend you use the “Rats” exploit. You may want to use this exploit to boost you up a few levels during your time playing the game also.

*If you already know the exploit you may still want to read on because I have added a few extra tips!

How to exploit

1. Log on OFFLINE.Crime.net.

2. Find a Rats mission, Non-Pro-Job, preferably on Overkill. (Can't find one overkill? Look through my extra notes below.)

3. Day 1, purposely destroy the meth and escape.
NOTE: I recommend you leave/escape the mission while there isn’t an assault in progress. i.e. don’t leave if it yellow at the top right of the screen. Wait till the assault finishes. This will hopefully mean you don’t get an escape mission once you leave.

4. Day 2, purposely shoot off your guns and then hang around the vehicle for a minute or so. Keep shooting your noisy gun defending your position. After a minute or so, look through the buildings for safes. The gangsters should hopefully of destroyed the intel. If you get to your first safe and it’s is NOT burnt. Most likely that safe will not have the intel in it, so look for the next safe which hopefully have the burnt intel. If the next safe has not been burnt, you are going to have to drill/picklock the safes to find the intel.
Once the intel is found, burnt or not, head for the escape.
NOTE: Again like day 1, leave after the assault so you shouldn’t get an escape mission.

5. Day 3, this is the exploit mission. Upon starting the mission, head down the left hand side of the bridge, get to the bus, kill all of the mendozas, head back to the escape.

6. After finishing the mission, get your money, exp and choose a card.

7. Now DON’T press “A – Continue to menu”.

8. Press “Start” then “Restart game” then “Yes”

9. Repeat step 5 to 9.

Extra notes

I reckon this should be one of the final achievements you go for. If I were you, I would play the game normally and go for all other achievements, then go for level 100.

If you are not interested in picking a card (which may be the case late game when you just want to reach 100). You will want to restart the mission as soon as you see the blue summary screen, when it is calculating your money income. This will speed up the whole process alot more.

Are you struggling to find a rats mission overkill? What you need to do is load up the safehouse mission, then end the game once in the map. When you now relook through offline.crime.net, you will find new missions and will have another chance of getting rats overkill.

On day 2, you may want to look for a money bags inside safes or in the buildings. If you put any money bags in the van at the end of day 2, you will gain more cash at the end of day 3 thus getting more cash per restart.

You may find using a sentry gun useful for killing the mendozas on the bus, as you can place it down then run for the finish. Shotguns also work well for clearing the bus.

I have made a spreadsheet which you can calculate how long it will take you to reach a target level and your accumulated cash upon reaching your target level. You just need to input:

• Your level,
• Target level,
• How much exp. you get each run,
• On average how long in seconds it takes you to complete each run (Stopwatch time!),
• How much cash you get each run.

I hope you can download it here (You will need a google account to download):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8pUfzihX7-_a29QQVRQYmE5dmc...

The password to unprotect the document is: payday2

The calculator is to be used as a guide because it is not entirely accurate because as you rank up, your level limit changes. Therefore it is best used when working out how long it’ll take you to rank a small range of levels e.g. 70 to 74. Not to be used for a big range of levels. But still useful!

There is a well-made YouTube video below which shows how to do the exploit.

Eddie.

For this solution you will need the Armored Heist DLC. Try to have the Train job in Overkill difficulty (by doing armored transport heist)... and fail it. With the Fast Learner Aced perk (Mastermind, Tier 2), you will have over 40 000 XP every time you retry.
Suicide yourself by jumping off a high place (not necessarily the bridge). Repeat until the level 100.
If you play alone, every try will take around 45 to 60 seconds, depend where you spawn. If you are four, you won't have to wait that everybody being caught by the police, every try will take around 30 seconds.
Please, comment if you downvote.
Excuse the spelling, I'm francophone. wink

EDIT: It seems like the Fast Learner Perk have been replaced by the Painkillers perk on PC. It is still available on Xbox 360.

Hi guys,

The bad news is that after the October update, you cannot restart the Rats job anymore, the good news is they increased the XP you gain per contract.

So you can still farm Rats jobs (but can't restart as before), it's relatively fast and the XP you get worth it.

Job: Rats (Pro - Overkill)
XP gained per run: 350K+ every 10-15mn (I got almost 400K in the video below).
From level 0 to 47-48, you'll get something like half of this XP (around 200K). You'll need only 4 Rats jobs (Pro - Overkill) to reach this level and get the maximum of XP per run. So jump into someone's lobby to level up until you're level 47-48 (so that you can buy a Pro - Overkill job), then profit.
If the job is not available on Crime.net online, you can purchase the contract. The cost is $3,550,000 (Offshore account).
I'd recommend playing with at least 1 or 2 friends, doing it by yourself may be tedious, especially because of the cloackers.
Optional skills: Fast Learner (mastermind tree) for more XP and Shaped Charge aced (technician tree) to unlock C4.

Happy farming wink

Approximately 23,336,416 (23.3 million) XP is required for level 100.

The more stars, the higher the payout. The White Stars on a job = the base payout for completing it. The Gold Stars on a job = the difficulty and are a multiplier for the payout.

Investing in the Faster Learner skill (Mastermind tree) early on will help. Acing it and playing with others who have it aced will make it even better.

The Ukrainian Job and the Night Club are both fairly quick jobs and have the highest potential payouts in terms of XP/minute.

Rats Method

The quickest way to boost XP is to find a non-Pro Rats job with as many stars as possible in Crime.net Offline (you can get 100k XP on a maxed out Rats job but the one worth 40-50K is easier to find). During day 1, blow up the lab, on day 2 find the info (burned or not) and once day 3 starts, sprint to the bus, kill all the rats on board, and then sprint back to the escape chopper.

Day 3 will take you roughly a minute. Once you have picked a card, instead of proceeding to the menu, pause the game, and restart the job. This will allow you to replay Day 3 only and get the big end of job payday as many times as you like. Using this method you can go from level 50 to 100 in roughly 25 hours.

Reputation level 100 requires 23,336,413 EXP.

The fastest method for levelling in Patch 1.03 is through the Armored Transport DLC. It costs a few dollars, but for the fast levelling, it is worth it. It's also worth noting that only the host needs to own the DLC to play it, so if you're playing as a group you won't all need to purchase it. Essentially, you want to play any of the Armored Transport heists on Overkill difficulty, opening all the boxes until you get intel for the Train heist. If you don't get the intel, restart until you do. This might take some time, but it's worth it when you do.

When you get the intel for the Train heist, escape so you can move onto the Train heist. Once the heist starts, simply run onto the bridge and jump off. Every time you die you'll earn 45,000 EXP. Rinse and repeat for easy EXP. It should take no longer than a minute per cycle, allowing for 2.5M-3M EXP every hour. Thanks to TheManUtdFan for telling me about this method!

As of Patch 1.03, the below Rats method is no longer efficient, due to the high cost for purchasing the contract (unless you have a rich friend willing to host). If you happen to have plenty of money in your offshore account, or even have your game on Patch 1.02 but not updated to Patch 1.03, then you can still utilise this method. You can also still simply play the heist whenever it pops up naturally.

The best way to grind EXP is to complete Rats Job on Overkill difficulty as a Pro Job. In order to buy the contract from Crime.net, it will cost $3,750,000 from your off-shore account. Completing the 3-day heist on Overkill Pro will grant you between 300,000-350,000 EXP, depending on whether you get any escapes after day 1 and 2, and whether you have the Fast Learner skill from the Mastermind tree. In order to get to Reputation level 100, you will need to complete Rats Overkill Pro roughly 70 times (from 0 EXP). When you know what you're doing, these attempts should take between 10-15 minutes each, allowing for between 1M-2.1M EXP per hour. The whole process should take between 10-25 hours, depending on your efficiency and whether you get escapes or not. In order to be efficient, you'll need either Shaped Charges (from the Technician tree) or the ability to pick safes (from the Ghost tree), so that you can complete Day 2 and Garage Escape as fast as possible.

Recommended skills for doing this are: Fast Learner Ace (Mastermind Tier 2), Endurance Ace (Mastermind Tier 1), Transporter Ace (Enforcer Tier 1 - if you're taking bags on Day 3), Sprinter Ace (Ghost Tier 1), Fast Hands Ace (Ghost Tier 2 - if you're taking bags on Day 3); one of the following two skills: Shaped Charge Ace (Technician Tier 5), Lockpicking Expert Ace (Ghost Tier 5).

In the game, look for the " Rats " robbery but not the " PRO JOP "!!
Having chosen this task, make sure that it meets these measurements.

You should have the following.
Contract : Rats
Risk : ★★★
PAYDAY income amount: $4,086,000

Start the game offline.
On Day 1 of the heist, find and take one drug ingredient. Go up to the 2nd floor and blow up the laboratory. As soon as the table lights up, run straight to the van and finish the mission.

On the 2nd day of the robbery, just go into the entrance and kill the bandits. Run along the floors and look for data in the safes. As soon as the escape sign appears, run away and complete the mission.

Here we come to the main farming site.
On Day 3 of the heist, run along the left side of the bridge towards the bus. Enter it and kill all the "Rats" bandits. You will have an escape zone, go to this zone and finish the mission.
You will have a calculation of the funds and experience gained for this mission. It should be like this : 89k$ and 37k[EXP] . After the calculation you will see don't click on it! Click " Start " and select " Restart Mission ". The bridge will load again, you run again and kill all the bandits on the bus and run away. Calculate funds and experience again, and you press restart of the mission. Repeat this and increase your level of pumping and get skill points.
Here is a visual instruction.

What was written above still works. You can gain even more experience than is written. The only thing is you can’t play with the latest update, first we get level 100 then download the update for online play

RATS PRO JOP OVERKILL collect your camp and go. On the first day, fire the house, on the second, kill the bandits right away and shoot at the windows on the second floor so that the rest will burn the money. Get up and look, as soon as an escape appears, run to the car. The third day, without paying attention to anything, run to on the bus, shoot everyone on it and back to the helicopter. In total, in three days that’s 320,000 HP and the time is from 10 to 15 minutes. It depends on what kind of campaign is going on.

The fastest and most current way to boost on the latest patch 1.03!!! Working at the time of writing (05/06/2018).
Can be done OFFLINE in solo, and in less than a minute you can raise 100k XP.

Go to "Crime.net Offline", search or buy the "RATS" robbery on the "Overkill" difficulty (costs 3.2 lemmas). Don't remove bots!

Day 1 - we quickly run to the laboratory, blow it up by adding an ingredient incorrectly, and run away. Usually after this day you need to escape from the garage, which is not particularly difficult. Although escape from the overpass may also happen

Day 2 - we shoot right away at the bandits, wait 1:30 or a little more, go upstairs and hope that the bandits burned the data (the open safe is on fire), the escape icon appears and we quickly escape

Day 3 - we run to the bus, neutralizing enemies along the way, take out Mendoza’s gang on the bus and run to the helicopter. MOST IMPORTANT: as soon as you enter the circle next to the helicopter, press start and restart, you hear a sound as if you have successfully completed the mission, 100k is already in your pocket and you immediately start the 3rd day again.
It is advisable to do all this in less than 1:00, as reinforcements will arrive later. My record is 40 seconds if the normal enemies spawn.

I leveled up like this from lvl 54 to 100. The only negative is that you don’t get money, only experience.
