How to unlock the Freedom achievement in Prison Architect - Definitive Guide

Just a note about this one and "Reformation". Despite their descriptions, the achievements "Freedom" and "Reformation" are actually reversed. So "Freedom" unlocks after finishing the Conviction Prison Story with all of its optional objectives completed and "Reformation" unlocks after finishing the Bootstraps Prison Story with all of its optional objectives completed.

Play the story mission 'Bootstraps' (5th and last mission) and follow all the other instructions but remember to press to get an overview of all objectives, though don't click the snapshot until you have done all of them.

'Bootstraps' is the final Prison Story. The optional objectives are:

  • Complete the Basic Detention Centre grant
  • Complete the Administration Centre grant
  • Complete the Security Procedure Certificationgrant
  • Complete the Inmate Health and Well-being grant
  • Complete the Prison Maintenance grant
