--Match Length: Unlimited
--Max Score: Unlimited
Just keep bouncing the ball off of the walls or give short bumps from your car until you break open a hole to score. Only tiles on the opposing teams side will take damage so keep it over there. By the time you have all 18 goals you should be done, or very close to finishing Buckminster X10.
Just a small tip, the longer the ball is in the air without touching the ground the wider the damage radius will be when it lands. If you can keep it up long enough it can damage up to 18 blocks around where the ball hits. Not necessary to try though.
From the lobby in the game, press "Play", go to "Custom Games" then press "Exhibition". Change the settings so it matches this:
Gamemode: Dropshot
Map: Core 707
Team Size: Doesn't matter at all
Difficulty: No Bots
Then press "Create Match".
This trophy can take some time depending on how fast you can score these goals, but my recommendation is to put boost into it to create a powerful orb, you can hit it even more to create an even more powerful orb, it is really hard on how to explain this orb. Anyways, if that touches the opponent's floor it will damage it, after two hits the floor(s) begin to break. Allowing the ball in will give you one goal. This took me about 4-5 matches, it shouldn't take you more than half an hour to get this.
In an exhibition match, set the game mode to Dropshot. Now set the team size to 1v1, no bots, and in the mutator settings make sure the max score and max length are both set to unlimited. Once in the game, break tiles and score 18 times.
The quickest way to do this, I find, is to hit the ball rather gently so that it bounces lightly on the same tile. Then you can just nudge it in.
This does not need to be achieved in a single match.
To score a goal in Dropshot, you must use the ball to sufficiently damage the floor of the opposite team's half of the arena so it collapses and lets the ball fall in. To do this you can either hit the ball normally and deal damage to a single tile or hit it numerous times for the ball to 'power up'. Powering up a ball has 2 stages i.e. 5x and 10x. 5x is the stage that happens when you see a 'cracking' animation and a ball of lightning in the centre of the ball, this will take between 2 and 4 hits to level up. The second stage is similar to the first stage however it is now a much more powerful lightning arc and acts like an AoE (Area of Effect) attack, to reach x10 it will take between 7-10 hits on average. A 5x stage will destroy 5x tiles and 10x stage will destroy 10x tiles.
To score a goal you need to break through these tiles using the ball but each stage does more damage than another so it is best you level up the ball to stage 2 before attempting to do this, which will save you time. Once you have hit the hexagonal tiles enough they will fade away leaving a hole in the ground which in turn you can hit the ball into, giving you a goal. Simply repeat this and score 18 times to earn the trophy.
To speed this up you can also using these mutator settings below, however the time it will take to do this depends on how comfortable you are with Mutators. Settings that can help here are:
- Ball Bounciness => Super Bouncy
- Gravity => High
- Ball Max Speed => Fast
- Ball Weight => Light
This in turn will allow you to hit the ball around the arena, however the ball bounces barely enough to leave the floor but this will in turn charge the ball up quicker and save you some time chasing the ball.
Also, you can set Goal Reset to "Disabled" which will leave any broken panels open and thus allow you to score every few seconds instead of repeatedly breaking them over and over. Thanks to Darth_Krid for this method. However, upon earning this trophy it's highly suggested that you finish the match and set Goal Reset to "1 second " once you are ready to go for the Buckminster x10 as this can void the damage stat tracking. More information on this can be found under the relevant trophy.
If you find yourself struggling with the explanation, then please see the video listed under the Buckminster x10 trophy.
