You can use “Exchange” fairly early on in the game through the save/shop person scattered everywhere in the game.

Each item has unique requirements in order to trade that come in the form of supplies. Supplies are earned by killing all enemy types in various ways, it is really easy to get those.You can also collect the environmental data (white orbs), they will show on your map as a slight yellow icon.

The easiest items to exchange are consumables early on (Light Jelly/ Normalisation tablet). Do this once for the achievement, and then another 99 times for another achievement. You can also work towards this by exchanging supplies for “presents” which are related to 2 other achievements in the game.

In this video guide I will show you how to use Item Exchange for the first time and change your Visual Equipment for the first time. Once you can access the shop you will be able to exchange items found in the maps by exploring, for items you can use. Just go to the exchange tab and select something you can trade for and the achievement will pop.

Now for the visual equipment, you have to wait until you get to the hideout then, go into the shop and there will be a visuals tab. Buy one then go into your equipment tab, then select the visuals tab to find the item you bought. Once you equip it the achievement will pop.
