In this video guide I will show you how to give a gift to an ally for the first time. You will not be able to do this until you get to the hideout for the second time. Then you will be given a tutorial about it. You will need to go to the shop, then got to the exchange tab. On the far right there will be a tab for presents to get for each ally. Pay attention to the hearts on the ally picture and who it highlights. This shows who likes it and how well they like it. Once you make your decision, go give it to the ally you choose by going to the ally to talk. There will be a gift option, once the ally gets the gift the achievement will pop.

Fairly straightforward.

In the second Intermission you open up the ability to give gifts to your allies. You can purchase them at the Item Exchange or you can get them via drops.
