Note: Her hammer ability is activated like Sonic's drop dash. Jump, hold A, and move in the direction you choose. It is not the regular jump/hammer spin attack.
This can easily be done at the boss of Lagoon City Act 1 where the boss spams many enemies in a direct line you can mow through repeatedly.

I think you mean Drop Dash, rather than Spin Dash. Spin Dash is the move where you rev up and release along the ground

Stage: Lagoon City - Act 1
Play through the level like normal until you reach the boss. On either the first or second stage of the fight, press
, then press and hold again to used Amy's Hammer attack*. Thankfully there's a checkpoint just before the battle. So if you die, you can just quickly get back to the boss and keep going.
*Make sure you land on the ground holding for progress to count.
