A way to make final boss (zone 11 act 2) first phase a little bit easier. When he is ready to attack you with lasers, stand between two hills. The small one has to be behind you and the big one is in front of you. Just let go of the stick, when you want to stop, so that the character doesn't turn around. When he goes of screen, start running and you'll be able to run under him. The lasers will never hit you.
