How to unlock the Ab Aeterno achievement in The Talos Principle 2 - Definitive Guide

Requirements are to complete all 10 puzzles in each region (so the 96 base puzzles + 12 optional puzzles which show up as triangles on the compass as you investigate the question marks). If you board the VTOL near the megastructure at any point after completing the initial 96 puzzles, you'll be locked into the end game and need to start the game again from new.
Once all 108 base + triangle puzzles are complete you'll unlock the 12 golden gate puzzles, 3 per region and 1 per zone. Complete all 12 of these.
Once all that is done, go back to the megastructure VTOL landing area but DO NOT board the VTOL, go up the steps out of the train transit area, keeping going forwards and you'll find the "13th" golden gate has opened. Agree to
