How to unlock the The Totally Full at Heart achievement in The Wild at Heart - Definitive Guide

In order to purchase upgrades at The Grove, you first need to collect the Water Wheel. The Water Wheel is located in the north-east corner of the Central Deep Woods, and you should be able to reach it relatively early on in your playthrough.

Once you've collected the Water Wheel and returned it to The Grove, you can construct the Fabricator, and from there start purchasing upgrades. Upgrades require the in-game currency and heartroot resin.

In-game currency isn't a problem - just sell either bloom stones or mesmerite to Crow's Nest. You'll find far more of these on your journey than you'll ever need.

Heartroot resin, however, is more difficult. There are a limited number in the game, and to unlock everything, you need to complete every side quest and unlock every chest in the game, as well as a couple of other things.

Here is how to get every piece of heartroot resin:

- Unlock all chests
- Complete the Grove Trove side quest (Scrap Heap)
- Complete the Bounties side quest (Toothpicks)
- Complete the Lost Cats side quest (Litterbox)
- Buy 2 from Cath in Crystalfall Coast
- Trade 3 bloom stones with Rubbish (located in north Central Deep Woods)

If you need help locating chests or quest items, buy the Compass from Cath and give it to Paper Planes in The Grove. Sleep and return to Paper Planes, and he will give you a fixed compass which shows the location of every hidden item on the map.

I left this 'til last, so had fully upgraded everything else. I only had to max out one character's health. Given that the game is quite easy, you could save a lot of heartroot by giving one character only 4 or 5 hearts. Ultimately, if your going for 100% and don't mind waiting for the achievement, the above guide is grand.

I not sure why I bought all Heart for both character, my achievement still not pop-up. I think it maybe glitch in updated version of the game.

Note: I reported this bug and they already fixed at version 1.015.0 on Xbox and 1.014.0 on PC.

I finally saved enough and bought all health upgrades for both characters, but the achievement didn't pop. I tried going back to a previous save and got my money back, but still had all the hearts I just bought. Tried again and got a ridiculous number of hearts. Looks like I can keep doing this to get as many hearts as I want, but no achievement. cry

I'm down to one health upgrade, and resin, but for the life of me can't find it. I've done all the side quests, bought the two from cath, traded with Rubbish, and still am missing one. The map is clear of chests too. Has anyone else run into this or found a secret chest that's not on the map?

EDIT: Forgot to talk to scrap heap one last time! Also, I heard of other people getting a heart resin from Rubbish by trading three of the blue Elden Pears as well.

So this achievement is glitched... I brought all the upgrades for Wake and Wendy. They each have 5 hearts. I have version 1.0.15.0 of the game and I have the Xbox One S. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I installed the 1.0.15 update, reverted to the earliest save I could, re-bought the hearts and as soon as I bought the first one the achievement popped. clap

First, I reported that bug to developer in thier Discord at room #bug-reports https://t.co/3dCmpBAxd9?amp=1. They can help to fix it soon.

Note: I got this achievement on my PC (1.014.0) instead of Xbox.

This is glitched for me, too. I starting playing on 1.013 and then got the upgrade to 1.015 before I completed the game. Had my stars then, lost them. I also lost Note #13 somehow after picking it up and moving on.

There's 8. After the update I had to open the waterwheel and close it for it to register.

Awesome. After I updated it from the store it reloaded the game with 8 hearts and I got the last achievement. Didn't realize that I would have to manually update it.

I haven't seen this addressed anywhere...is there enough heartroot resin the game to buy all the upgrades for the various achievements or is this one of those where you have to unlock the achievement and then revert to a previous save to get the materials back so you can then buy the upgrades for the next upgrade?

There is enough resin to upgrade everything but you have to finish/collect everything in the game to get it all.

Didn't unlock for me (v 1.0.15.0). When I bought my last heart, I only had 7 per character. I believe there should be 8? I reverted to an older save, and that actually dropped me to 5 hearts each. Rebuying the last one gave me 6/5, with no more available.
Seems the Steam version has this same glitch and the dev is aware and working on a patch.
Fingers crossed.

Just a heads up if anyone is having buggy issues with this one, the developer posted this on steam a few hours ago.

Hello all! Just wanted to say this issue should now be fixed on Steam as of 1.0.15.1! Full patch notes here https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1093290/view/3044976...

If you're to be on Xbox or PC Game Pass, these fixes will go live with 1.0.16.0, hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for being patient as we work through these bugs! <3 <3 <3

To make upgrades, you need to restore the Mill. To do this, you need to find the Water Wheel (artifact) in the central location and pay 10 boxes of parts and 1000 nuts.
In total, you need to improve the health of both characters 5 times. In total you will get 15,000 nuts and 14 portions of resin (Heartwood resin).
