This weapon is missable: located in the ??? area that you access from the Varrian Ruins, it is important that you get this weapon from the large chest in this dungeon before going to the boss on the large door needing 6 batteries, since you can't go back to this dungeon after beating it.

I think they may have patched this to make it unmissable. At least, it isn't in a chest. I walked into a room (a room that I'm pretty sure is unmissable) and it automatically triggered a cutscene of me getting the gun. I didn't have to find it or open a chest or anything.

The mysterious firearm is located in the game's final dungeon, the Varrian Ruins. You will enter a room south of the dungeon's entrance, where a cutscene will play involving Colette reading some documents that explain where she is. After reading the documents, she will pick up a nearby firearm - an electric rifle.
