How to unlock the Checking In achievement in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon - Definitive Guide

Done on the Dubai mission (Power Play).

Fly along the road leading out from the mainland towards the Palm Jumeirah (the fan shaped island housing complex with houses way too expensive for you), and at the end you will see the hotel (Atlantis, The Palm) which has a large arch in the centre structure.

Fly through the arch and the achievement is yours. Yay!

The mission name is 'Power Play' if you want to add that.

if you press the back button or start (menu) on the radar/map the building you fly through is in 4B/5B sections, you cant miss it

FYI, I did this in co-op and it didn't unlock. Not sure if it didn't catch it or doesn't count in co-op, but figured I should post this somewhere. wink

No need to do this in Free Mission mode. It can be done in regular campaign as well.

True but if you already beat the campaign its quick to just jump in the free mission and grab the achievement

This can only be done during the campaign or free mission mode. On the mission "Power Play" the moment the level starts to turn left and head towards the island which looks like a giant palm tree (The Palm Islands), at the very top of this island is a building which has a giant archway. Fly through the archway to get your trophy.

In real life this hotel is called “The Atlantis Hotel.” Google image it if you are unsure as to what you are looking for.
