This achievement is progressional to the story and can be obtained by completing 'Feats,' which are tasks required for the purpose of evolution.
You are required to complete approximately 76% of all feats which will progress your evolution all the way to approximately 2 million years thus unlocking this achievement.
You can check your progress for each feat by creating a bed/resting place and pressing

and scrolling left to the 'Evolution' tab. Completed feats will either be labelled as or 'ready' or 'added.'

Ready - These have been completed during your current generation and will be embedded into your lineage upon evolution.
Added - These have been embedded into your lineage from previous evolutions.

22 Apr 2024, IMPORTANT ...
You can reach FULL evolution and finish the "campaign" to see the end credits, and if you didn't unlock the BIPEDAL and OMNIVORE achievements, you can still continue the game.
When you fully evolve, ALL MUTATIONS ARE GIVEN to you and you don't have to worry about "LOCKING IN" certain mutations through the infant hominids and meteorites.
You can still skip generations after fully evolved.

So if you want, you can complete as many feats as you want and keep evolving quickly.

I finished the game without having unlocked the BIPEDAL AND OMNIVORE achievements and was freaking out when the credits started. Luckily, the game is smart and looks out for us.

I play on Xbox. I evolved like for the 4 or 5 time and stayed Ardipithecus Ramidus. Then my game crashed to XBOX dashboard. My safe is gone, when I load it up it stops at around 50% I can only start over so I tried to create a custom setup.

So I chose the same location (Tunnel mouth Oasis) I was in, same species Ardi. I was close to 4 Million years after the evolution but not enough the reach Australopithecus Afarensis.

Now in the custom game I would just be close to 6 Million years, so just at the start of Ramidus.

I checked my feats. The are almost identical, but I have not discovered a single landmark nor a meteor site. In the original game I discovered everything until the first meteor in the savannah (Green Rock Pathway, did Rocky Tarn before - so I just once very quick in the Savannah only to fetch the meteorite)

I had discovered all Oasis and Landmarks in Jungle, Great Lake, Caves and Woodland Biome - and not a single one in Savannah, Canyon and Ocean.

Also my bipedalism seems to be gone and off course all the familiar camps will not have tools left behind - which is not that bad.

So if I am left with the custom game as only option. Do I have to go back and discover all the landmarks and trigger the meteorites again. Or can I just try to evolve elsewise to Autralo... and go into the Savannah.

I looked yeserday into the feats, There are 277 feats in total, from which are 71 Landmarks/Oasis and 65 the make Animals fight thing. In order to reach 65% you have to accomplish at 180 of 277, so it will not be doable without one or the other.
I am thinking of started a new custom game, with Ardi Rami but in the initial starting Oasis and living a nomadic live discovering all the landmarks I had discovered in the old game.
The big question is how do I keep myself from this happening again? I cant make an extra save or such on Xbox

Okay, i will try to explain this the best way i can (this is my first guide and English is not my native lenguaje so sorry if i made a few mistakes with the grammar)

First of all, have in mind that the main objective is to Evolve, to make it you will need to complete the Evolutionary Feats (You can check your progress on your bed by pressing Y)

This Feats requiere to complete Some sidequests and activites like:
-Dodge
-Hunt animals.
-Build
-Explore
-Reinforce your Lineage's neuronal development
-Use sticks, rocks as tools.
Every feat Gives you 5000 to 45000 years of evolution.

Also there's Always a "Safe Lock" with the Evolutionary timeline that will not count all of your feats in the same Jump.
I had around 40 Feasts completed when i made my first Jump but the game only counted me 21.
Giving me a total of 900000+ years of evolution.

The births and deaths will also count.
5000+ per birth
25000- per Death.

(No, it doesent count those who die of old.)

Be very careful with your clan members and specilally with the old ones, They can be killed and die of thirst and hunger.

It's hard to say honestly. It took me about 25 hours to get all achievements but I was playing for enjoyment and doing side things. So if your just speeding though and going for this one maybe 15 hours or so?
