This is unlocked by completing the fourteenth mission in the game, which has you helping an injured owl that flew into a window.
Go to the owl icon on your map to learn about the owl, then head to the equipment room in the Animal Hospital to get a carrier.
Follow the icon to Edward's house where you'll find the owl and place it in your carrier. Return to the hospital where your boss will have you get some medicine for it, and then place it back in the carrier and take it outside behind the hospital.
After the game skips you ahead an hour you can let the owl go for the achievement.
