How to unlock the Grenade Guru achievement in Anthem - Definitive Guide

All of the Weapon I Challenge achievements are quite similar. For this one, you need to kill a total of 50 enemies with 3 different variants of the grenade launcher.

You can track your progress by pressing cn_start, then browse to Challenges -> Weapons -> Grenade Launcher. Select the rifle you want to track and hit cn_X.

The grenade launcher challenges required for this achievement are:

Bombardier I
Aftershock I
Luker I

Basically, any mob can drop them. You will also get it off treasure chests and other mission rewards. Also, note that this is a Colossus-only weapon so you need to play the Colossus javelin in order to get them to drop.

Added note: The Lurker grenade launcher is by far the weirdest weapon in the game (imo). First you have to hit cn_RT to fire a mine on the ground, then you need to hit cn_LT in order to detonate it. Took me a few minutes to figure that one out.

Thanks for the info about the Lurker - I was just shooting and waiting for them to explode. It was taking forever - your solution works for it.

I only had the Lurker and started working on it after I hit 30 when all the other chanllenges unlocked, but when I finished Lurker it did not pop for me, seems to be bugged a little.

i've got the same issue. finished all the level 1 challenges for grenade launchers and achievement didnt pop. i can't find any way to reset the challenges. starting a new character doesnt help, completed challenges carry over between characters

has anyone gotten their bugged achievements from this game yet? i wanted to 100% anthem when it released but this just stopped it when it never popped

Just got the sniper bugged cheevo after a kill. I didn't play the game in months, I guess it was patched.

I recommend having Colossus as your starting unit; don't switch until you have the grenade launcher and autocannon achievements. Those guns are exclusive to Colossus, and if you wait to use Colossus til the end you get stuck playing 30+ games in a row just looking for a gun

I need an aftershock like LowTierGod1 and SMOLDERPICKEM44 but they unlocked it since they wrote here, so it should come but I already did about 20 missions and I'm still waiting. :')

Update 2 months later: it took me about 5 to 10 hours to win an epic aftershock.

To unlock the Grenade Guru trophy in Anthem, you will need to complete three of the Grenade Launcher challenges which can be found by opening the Menu > Challenges > Weapons > Grenade Launcher

You will find four challenges available -- one for each of the game's three Grenade Launchers, and a final one for completing all three of the Grenade Launcher challenges.

The three challenges you will need to complete are 50 kills with the following three weapons:

Aftershock
Bombardier
Lurker

Grenade Launcher I challenges task you with killing 50 enemies with a specific weapon. You must use the Lurker, Aftershock, and Bombadier and kill 50 enemies with each to unlock this achievement.

You can check your progress toward this under Weapons in the "Challenges" in the menu.

Each of three weapons in a given class has multiple challenges associated with them. For this, you need to complete the level 1 challenge which is 50 kills with each.

This is a Colossus only weapon class.
