To unlock Spike, you must first capture all 300 monkeys in your first playthrough as Hikaru. You must then complete the true final boss fight (refer to One Last Time for more info). After you complete this boss fight, the credits will roll and the game will tell you how to start a new game as Spike. To do so, you must hold and then select “New game” > “Start”.

In this new playthrough, you will have all the gadgets unlocked already, so the game should go by much faster. It is important to note however that you no longer have Pipotchi by your side in this playthrough, meaning that if you lose all your cookies, he won’t be there to save you, and you will lose a life.

In this playthrough, I highly recommend using the Power Punch in place of the Stun Club. Not only does it knock monkeys on the ground for a longer period of time, but it also has greater range and does considerably more damage to all enemies, including bosses.

This trophy will unlock after you complete the true final boss fight, meaning you have to collect all 300 monkeys again, which shouldn’t take long since you already did it once. If for some reason you are having trouble finding any of the monkeys again, refer to the trophy description of One Last Time for a guide detailing their locations.
