How to unlock the Flawless Victory achievement in Arcana Heart 3 - Definitive Guide

Simple Mode Guide

This achievement is best done in local versus against a second controller. I chose to set the settings to 5 rounds and infinite time, but that's up to you. This can be done under "Option" in the main menu. Saki is the character you'll be using.

Alright, after nailing the combo a couple of times in "Normal" mode I didn't get the achievement. I believe this is because I had an extra input during the initial half-circle back + forward motion. Because of this, I went in to practice on "Simple" mode in order to test things out a bit.

Anyway, when the match first begins you'll have to build up 3 bars of super meter. Chances are you will need more than one round to do this. Once you've built up the meter, you'll press LT in order to activate extend force. Then, you'll press in the Right Stick in order to activate the dashing move you need to begin with. After this, press "X" 5 times in succession. This is the first part of the combo. Then, wait a brief moment and follow it up with another X in order to launch your foe. Once the foe is launched, press X again in order to pursue them and then X to attack them in the air. This attack has to hit twice, and then you have to immediately hit X again. You'll do 2 hits again, repeat this again for another 2 hits and then once more for another chain of 4 hits. When the 4th hit connects, hit X one last time in order to cancel in to the super move. If you've done it right, the achievement will unlock.

This must be done in modes outside of practice or it won't count. As the description states, you can't use ANY extra inputs or the achievement won't unlock. This takes some practice, but it cuts down on the errors you can make in terms of the extra inputs.

Thanks so much! Got the achvt with very little practice considering the ratio.

The other solution, by RF Oyashiro, helped with the timing of the air combo. I found out I was rushing it and that was why the finisher didn't come out. redface

for this achievement, you need to do the extend critical heart with saki without spamming or pressing wrong button.
go in versus with a second controller, infinite time and 5 rounds.
To do it, you'll need to get in extend (by pressint ABC) and do 63214 56+AB
then, when you're close enought of the opponent rapidly press:
- 2+A
- 2+B (watch out, you have to get back to 5 after the first input)
- B
- C
- E
Then, when your opponent bounce, press 2+E
if done properly, your opponent will be launch really high
then press D
when you are in front of your opponent in the air, press B
now, you'll need to look at the combo :
- when the combo is at 8, press C
- when the combo is at 10 press 8+C
- when the combo is at 12 press 2+C
- when the combo is at 16 press E

if done properly, the achievement will pop.
Remember, you need to never spam to get it.

PS : try to learn all the input in training mode then, do it in versus if you think you're good enough

For this you must select Saki at character select. The move you must perform is Garbh Dagda while in Extend Force. So first you must activate Extend Force with (ABC/) and then right away use the Critical Heart. The moveset for Garbh Dagda is :

Garbh Dagda: 632146A+B >2A > 2B > 5B > 5C > 5E > 2E > 5D > 5B > 5C > 8C > 2C > 5E / + > > > > > > > > > > > >

How the move works is Saki will dash to the opponent and that's when you must start the inputs, the first 5 hits will be fast however once you reach the input for E/ you need to wait maybe half a second before inputting 2E/. When you reach the aerial portion of the move be aware of the multiple hits each input does, you need to wait for each hit to connect before inputting the button after:

  1. 5B/ - 2 hits
  2. 5C/ - 2 hits
  3. 8C/ - 2 hits
  4. 2C/ - 4 hits

After you input the 4th aerial input it will go into a long upward 4 hits, when the counter reaches 16 hits you must finally input the final input E/ and the move will finish in a flash kick.

This could be a very difficult feat for most experienced players however it is still possible. Go into training mode and practice this move until you can actually finish the move and then practice doing it while aware of the buttons you are inputting. Worse case scenario think about the following:

  • During the initial start up of the move, its possible you could have input something extra by accident
  • After that initial start up DO NOT buffer 2/ as it will count as an input, wait to press it after Saki dashes to the opponent
  • During that fast 5 hit start could be where you might input something extra, just be aware of the buttons you input

After that the aerial inputs are pretty slow and easy. Its just a matter of practice and patience for inexperienced players.
