How to unlock the Purple hater achievement in Arise: A Simple Story - Definitive Guide
The very first flower you are presented with to stand on is a safe colour. These are the hot pink/fuchsia coloured flowers. The purple flowers are very obvious when they first appear. If at first you feel you can only move forward with a purple flower, check the whole timestream available to you, as there is always a fuchsia option.
You CAN collect all memories in the same run as avoiding all the purple flowers. Yes, including the very last memory at the top of the final waterfall, just choose any of the right most fuchsia flowers that pass by the little dirt patch at the bottom (the one that you use to transition to the flower that goes back up the waterfall).
It is reported on Powerpyx that if you die in the water during the final pollen trail, you will respawn on a purple flower. So, don't die there. It's pretty easy not to die there.

Pretty simple. Don't attempt this if you're trying to get all the memories, I don't think you'll be able to.
This only refers to the big floating flowers. Although most of them look purple to me, it's only the very violet ones that you need to avoid. The ones the same colour as the flower at the start (a deeper red) are fine. You also don't need to worry about the flowers on the lily pads.
Every time you see a purple flower, there'll be the option to use the more reddy ones. Just do that and it'll pop when you reach the willow tree at the end.
