How to unlock the Fancy Meeting You Here achievement in Army of Two: The 40th Day - Definitive Guide

Here is what worked for me, finally!

From the main multiplayer menu press the Y button to invite partner, and select a friend. There will be a box in the top middle of the screen showing your partner.

Now select game browser and select a game (Not Extraction) that has only one to two players. You need to find a match that has not started yet. Once you've joined ready up and when the match starts achievement should pop.

It took me several tries to finally get it to work. It did not seem to work if joining a game in progress or when joining extraction matches.

This worked perfect. Great solution!

If, for some reason the invite did not send correctly (when you press Y and select the person), just keep on re-sending it.

If you join a session in progress just complete that game and when you start the next one it should pop. You will need to get through all the lobby/load up screens and actually get to point where you can fire your weapons.

I tried it twice, but it didn't work. However, when my friend invited me, the achievement popped for me as well as soon as the game started. This game is pretty damn bugged.

This achievement can be unlocked in Extraction mode! I've unlocked it recently by inviting a partner in main multiplayer screen and then started quick match in extraction mode. Achievment unlocked on the round start.

Extraction mode allows you to play with 2 players while other modes need 4, so you can unlock this achievement very easy with just one friend!

Can confirm that you can pop this one in Extraction mode. Works well for me.

Unobtainable due to server shutdown

To invite a friend, while in the versus menu press the button and select a friend from your friend list to invite. Once he joins, join a quick match of any game mode with him/her and the trophy will pop up once you enter the match.
