Traits are unlocked on the end game screen after completing a successful Quick Game scenario, wherein the condition to unlock the trait is met.
The trait Conductor is unlocked by having 3 or more buildings destroyed by lightning in a single run. Lightning strikes occur with the minor vagary Lightning, which has 3 lightning strikes occur at random, or with the major vagary Lightning storm, which has lightning strike randomly every turn. It's best to take advantage of the major vagary Lightning storm, and pack up the mobile buildings so they don't get destroyed. Let the permanent buildings take damage from the storm while the pupils hide in the caravan, and complete the run once the buildings are destroyed.
