How to unlock the Pathfinder achievement in As Far As The Eye - Definitive Guide
Traits are unlocked on the end game screen after completing a successful Quick Game scenario, wherein the condition to unlock the trait is met.
The trait Pathfinder is unlocked by unlocking every MP (movement point) trade bonus in a single run. Pupils earn XP when working in a particular trade, and after earning all base skills in a trade must work from the trade's specialized building to gain XP in a specialization (e.g. Sawmill for Woodcutter, Bakery for Baker). The MP trade bonuses are indicated with a hexagon icon, and require the following trades:
The best chance to obtain this is to use positive traits that increase speed of harvesting (Agile), increase XP gain (Self-taught), give additional XP for multiple trades at once (e.g. Expert, Passionate/Versatile), and/or grant additional turns (Planner). Unlocking Philosophy from the Council, which requires a Level 3 Council, goes a long way as well as this grants 100 XP per minor vagary to the current trade for each pupil.
It's suggested to use the South Tribe Long Journey, as this starts with 4 pupils with 3 random level 3 trades to start with, and having 2 specialists for Miner and Stonecutter to start with along with positive traits goes a long way to completing this before the end of the journey.
