Traits are unlocked on the end game screen after completing a successful Quick Game scenario, wherein the condition to unlock the trait is met.
The trait Shy is unlocked by making a trade with a friendly caravan. Friendly caravans appear, typically twice, in halts after the first halt. Select a pupil, select the friendly caravan, and choose the Meet option. After meeting, choose one of the conditions, and the trade will be completed.
Negotiator unlocks alongside this achievement upon completion of the run. Negotiator is tied to the mislabeled Bargainer achievement that appears as a handshake.
