How to unlock the Speed Freak achievement in Assault Heroes - Definitive Guide

You should get this achievement without trying. Just keep driving up and don't waste too much time shooting buildings and towers on the side of the level. Also skip the underground lairs.

What is a zone? When does the first end? Is the spider the end of the zone? I just don't seem to notice the end, haha

What zone do you do it on? I did the 2nd zone in 7 minutes, but still didn't get the achievement

Yea, this guide is not very helpful. I "just kept driving" and didn't get this while playing through. Which map is this easiest on? Do you have to complete the whole zone from start to finish? It appears inconsistent as I completed Zone 1 in under 15 without getting the achievement...

I got this Achievement on the first Zone by starting from Area One. It popped right after the scoreboard came up. I was playing alone and I skipped the Underground Area. Even so, I got this Achievement at the end of the level as well:
Assault HeroesAnnihilatorThe Annihilator achievement in Assault Heroes worth 11 pointsKill more than 85% of the total enemies in a zone.

When you finish a Zone, you will be picked up by a dropship at the end of a cinematic and it will say "Zone Complete" then a scoreboard pops up displaying your stats for that zone. The first Zone consists of four Areas. You can skip the Underground area and still get this achievement.

You shouldn't have much trouble doing this at all on Easy but here's a few tips anyway:
-Use your Grenades (RT) often, especially against heavy armor and bosses. You start with 10 and get 10 more at the very beginning of Area One.
-Save your Nukes for either the Spider Boss or the giant wall at the end of the Zone.
-I find the Flamethrower to be the most effective weapon after you upgrade it at least once. But instead of holding the stick, just keep rapidly tapping it towards your targets. This will make it spray several small embers that actually guide themselves to the target. This method works great because you don't have to be accurate with your shots and they do more damage than the Chaingun. This weapon is very effective throughout the entire game.

I hope this helps. If there's anything I can do to make this solution better, please leave a comment. Thanks!

Very easy to get in Zone 1. I finished in 11 or so minutes and got the trophy no problem. Keep toward the top of the screen so it stays in motion, resist entering the underground bunker, and you should have no difficulties getting this one.

NOTE: Seems a little buggy to me, as it wouldn't work in Zone 3 (I finished it in 9 minutes and no trophy). If you're having trouble, try Zone 1!

This can be done in any zone with relative ease. Stay as close to the top of the screen as possible to keep the level scrolling steadily, use the flamethrower as much as possible on ground forces to quickly cut through them, switching to your machine gun when your fuel runs out. Use nukes and grenades at the onset of boss fights to gain a quick advantage, and use the flak cannon or flamethrower of weakpoints to quickly end these fights. Also make sure not to go into lairs when going for this achievement. This achievement can be unlocked on any difficulty.
