You can be German or French. Select the home base before you spawn. Then select tank icon as spawn option. Then select assault tank. It's the far right tab in this sub menu. Then shoot to kill 😎

When a tank is available, use the left thumbstick to select land vehicle/tank

once. Select the Assault Tank (St Chamond) with the 
button and enter into battle.People will often wait on tanks respawning. In my experience on the assault side of operations maps, the respawn time is 60-90 seconds from the death of the last land-based vehicle. Once you have spawned an Assault Tank, it will remain as your default tank for all future missions until you change it. This saves those key seconds to get ahead of someone else pinching the vehicle spawn.
When in battle be aware that the Assault Tank is not particularly well armoured. The driver's main gun is powerful with good range and manoeuvrability. The secondary front gunner position is also a decent weapon to use if someone else gets the tank before you.
25 kills is all you need (accumulative across all maps and game types) and is straight forward if you play sensibly. Never jump straight into a battle. The best tactic is to manoeuvre around objectives and 'snipe' into areas with enemy soldiers. 'Assist counts as a kill' will also count towards the 25.

Should be noted that you do not have to be the driver to attain this cheevo. You can get this in any of the 5 seats. Also does not need to be in a single round, it is cumulative.

I personally found this to be made easier by going to the Operations game mode and selecting the new French Operations. The Operations game mode combines many battles into one game giving you longer to play. If you happen to get put on the German side of the war be sure to go into your squad menu and choose to switch sides and become French because they are on offense and have a lot more tanks vs the defending German forces.
However, if Operations is not your favorite game mode, know that you can do it in Conquest as well on any map (not only the DLC maps) and on every side (French, German, British, Ottoman, etc.), they all have access to the St. Chamond if you own the DLC.
At various times you can spawn into someone else’s tank or select to be a tank driver by highlighting your respawn circle over a tank. If you can select a tank for yourself, then choose the assault tank to get the St Chamond. You can also run up to the St Chamond tank (that's already on the battlefield) and press 
to enter it. Kills as the gunner or the driver both count towards this trophy however, it is far easier to get kills as the driver as you will have explosive rounds and control of the tank's movement. Once you get a total of 25 kills in the St Chamond Heavy Tank, the trophy will pop.

The new St. Chamond Assault Tank is a powerful new tank added by the ‘They Shall Not Pass’ DLC and can be selected on most maps that allow tank warfare (Including base game maps). In order to select it, you must place your cursor over an available tank icon in the spawn menu and use the 
to move over to the tank type that you want to spawn as. Make sure to select the St. Chamond and then start working on the twenty five kills needed for this achievement. Personally, I found this tank to be one of the better vehicles in the game (for the driver) and I had no trouble earning these kills quickly.
