How to unlock the Torched achievement in Battlefield 4 - Definitive Guide

Simply set the yellow grass on fire on Caspian Border or Operation Metro using the engineers torch. Must be done in a populated server. Any comments or suggestions then let me know!

I know where the brushes are but have had absolutely no luck finding even a single match of Second Assault being played, let alone on either of these two maps. Pretty ridiculous that I paid $50 for premium and can't even use it! Hope they get it fixed soon!

Hey guys me and a friend are looking for help to do these DLC Achievements on the Xbox One. Both China Rising and Second Assault DLCs. We both got a refund on Premium so any time soon will no longer have the DLCs... Just need 2 more players and we can all take in turns getting each one. Easy enough. You can also unlock this on Operation Firestorm, by setting fire to a pool of oil.

To confirm with "The Great Chai", I also unlocked mine on Operation Firestorm by lighting a pool of oil on fire.

Can this be done in a private match?
And do I just need one other person if so?

Same question for any other multiplayer ones? I’ve not gone onto it yet, just finished campaign.

Thought I would contribute with quite possibly the easiest Trophy in Battlefield 4!

First off you have to spawn as the engineer and have the repair tool equipped in one of the two equipment slots. The repair tool comes unlocked from the start so you can get the Trophy at any time!

The trophy requires you to set fire to yellow coloured brush/grass on either Operation Metro or Caspian Border. For this guide I used Caspian Border on Conquest as their is a lot of grass all over the map! As you can see from the video I spawned at the 'A' Flag and was right on top of the grass! You then simply take out your repair torch an hold down the R2 button until the fire starts,

The trophy popped for me the second the smoke appeared! Needless to say but you have to be in a populated server.

I got this trophy without setting fire to grass, and I was playing on Firestorm. I managed to get the trophy by throwing grenades onto the oil puddles dotted around the Firestorm map.

Play as an engineer so you’re able to use your repair tool. This is slightly easier on Caspian Border as it’s an outside map there are more grassy part around as opposed to Operation Metro where only the first area of the map has grass. The grass that can be set on fire is quite yellowish and tall, hold your repair tool down until it start burning, you will know when you start taking damage and the achievement will unlock. Burn.

The video below will give you an idea of what the grass you’re after looks like on Caspian Border.

Really easy, just find some old grass (tall and dim brownish) in either Operation Metro or Caspian Border and use the Engineer’s Repair Tool to start a fire. The trophy will pop as soon as the fire ignites. See the video below for a visual representation.

It is best to perform this task in the "CAPTURE" mode. on the Caspian border. There you can almost easily wander around the edge of the map where no one is ever there and burn bushes. The bush that is set on fire (more precisely, grass) differs from the usual one in that it is taller and has a gray-yellow color, in contrast to the orange-brown of everything else. During a round, it’s easy to find 5 such fields and set them on fire, thereby also completing the task of opening a camouflage..
