In the Coconut Cup(I used the second race), have your buggy maxed or close too for speed and acceleration. Rez has a boost special which you can use once per race so use him and save it for the last lap. Your buggy should be a bit faster than most others so if you have kept close to fifth place, as soon as lap 2 starts, punch it!
Picking up a nitro power up also helps to make things easier. Of course they are random. So if you pick one up on the first lap, save it just in case you need that extra push close to the end of the lap.

Again, this is easier to achieve on lower speeds but it is also something you might do accidentally on higher speeds as you can easily go from first to last in the final stretch. At lower speeds just make sure you start the final lap in 6th. Save any special speed abilities and power ups and once you start the final lap you should easily be able get into first place and win the race.

This is best to be done on the 100 HP and upgrade your car to the maximum. Make sure you start the final lap in 6th. Picking up a Boost power-up also helps to make things easier and taking a shortcut to get into first place and win.
