How to unlock the Fully Researched Bouncer achievement in BioShock - Definitive Guide

Continue taking pictures of Bouncers until you have maxed out the research. The earliest you are typically able to do this is in Hephaestus.

To fill the progress bar as fast as possible, take pictures of the Bouncers when they are fully in the frame, during an action shot (attacking), and when they are with other enemies (typically, a Little Sister). Coupled with the 25% bonus for the Photographer's Eye tonics, you should get this near the end of Fort Frolic. Also remember that once you've killed one, you can come back later and it will respawn, ripe for more research.

You must fill the research bar FIVE times, with a bonus obtained each time you fill it. The bonuses for the Bouncer are as follows:

1. Increased damage +
2. Wrench Jockey 2 (combat tonic)
3. Increased damage ++
4. Wrench damage +50% (passive ability)
5. Increased damage +++

You're guides for research achievements on this game are very good. No-one else mention's the bonus's and I think people should know as it gives them more incentive rather than the achievement.

And those that have the achievement can come and look at your guides to see what bonus's are available.

The Bouncer enemy is the Big Daddy with the huge drill arm.

It's best to take pictures of him when he is accompanied by a Little Sister or when he is attacking or even both, you will get a nice bonus boost.

You will need to fill the research bar 5 times to complete it, each time you fill the research bar you will be rewarded a bonus, they are in order:

- Increased Damage +
- Wrench Jockey 2 Tonic
- Increased Damage ++
- Wrench damage +50%
- Increased damage +++

The damage bonus is only for the first, third, and final bar, not each one. I got a PM saying you changed your solution, I previously voted negatively, but I've decided to change my vote to positive.

I found the best place to get this achievement is Fort Frolic in the Poseidon area - I had not seen any Bouncers before this, but there are loads on this level, you can normally take 4-5 photos of each one if you move around, I did not see any duplicate bonus. Kill the Bouncer and shortly after another will respawn, rinse and repeat. Theres 3 of them with Little Sisters here too.

Bouncers are the Big Daddy types with the Drill Hands. You will need to fill the research bar four times before you are done.

This achievement is highly missable!

You should be able to begin research on this Big Daddy in Fort Frolic. This Big Daddy carries a Drill and is a melee enemy type.

Refer below to the “Research PhD” achievement for more information regarding research.

NOTE: Research progress will carry over on a New Game+ playthrough. If you could not complete all research during your first playthrough, you can continue from where you left off on a New Game+ playthrough.
