How to unlock the Hacked a Security Camera achievement in BioShock - Definitive Guide

You will need to successfully hack a security camera to get this achievement. Most of the cameras are close enough to the ground where you can hack them (a few are not).

If you can scoot under one without it seeing you, it should be easy to just look up at it and hack it. You don't need to shock it first, though it definitely helps if you can't get under it undetected.

I advise always hacking them instead of destroying them.

Hack any security camera in Rapture. Security camera are the ones mounted on the walls and ceilings.

These are the wall-mounted cameras that call the security bots. Hacking these will turn them friendly. Note that you can not do research on friendly cameras.
