How to unlock the Blood and Gold achievement in Blasphemous 2 - Definitive Guide
Because of the semi-random nature of the game and its order depending on your starting weapon I’ll go over the basics. This boss is located to the south east of the map, in the Palace of Emroideries.
You will be using Sarmiento & Centella. I’m sure you can use other weapons but I found them ineffective and the game seems to encourage the use of the relevant weapon for that area of the map.
If you’ve got any memory unlocks I’d go for Verdadera Destreza I and Galvanic Striker to both add and increase Lightning damage to your attacks, once charged up.
Any time the boss in on the ground you can punish easily. Whenever she’s in the air, it’s a bit trickier, such that I avoided mid-air punishing almost entirely. There is a move available in weapon memories called Silver Cross (RB in mid air) which could be useful for this purpose but I hadn’t got the muscle memory to do this attack yet, so do what works for you.
The boss has a few moves on the ground, and she does big damage. I could time time the parries, so stuck to dodging and jumping.
On the ground you could face:
-basic melee attacks: dodge/slide through or away from them and immediately punish.
-short dash: same as above
-invisible appearance and attack from a single blue AOE: stand still, await the blue AOE to appear, dash away before the boss appears and walk straight back to punish, make sure your sprite isn’t standing directly on the boss.
-occasionally she will do the above but spawn multiple blue AOEs across the arena: either stand somewhere an AOE did not appear, or dash for your life
-invisible dash: once she goes invisible, you want to dash away then immediately jump. If this attack hits you it will decimate your health. Learning the timing for this attack will be the difference between success and failure.
In the air she will land on high wire’s and fire projectiles that are easily dodged.
Towards the 2nd half of the fight she may spawn some gold clones both on the ground or on high wires. Do your best to dodge and punish as appropriate. They don’t stick around for long and everything will go back to normal.
Here's a failed run, after which I gave up on damaging in the air. Shows a good rhythm and several attacks.
Good luck!
