How to unlock the Flawless Penance achievement in Blasphemous 2 - Definitive Guide
With the Time Stopping spell now nerfed I would recommend Great Preceptor Radames instead of the final boss, Equip the two flame prayers you can get early on, the Altarpieces that boost flames and physical damage and learn his patterns, it's hard for sure, but very possible. And if you've already passed that point in the game it shouldn't take you too long to get back to it, less than an hour.

This is the boss now for sure. The move set is pretty easy to memorize and you don't need anything extra to help win the fight.
I used Veredicto (no points in it) and kept my distance hitting mostly to build fervor and unleash the Peteneras to the Burial of the Lights chant which decimates the bosses health.

If you didn't manage to get this achievement while playing through the game don't worry, as the final boss is actually one of the easiest bosses in the game to defeat without being hit.
To easily get this trophy, you want to use the maxed out Veredicto with the "Seguiriya to the Memory of your Eyes" Chant. The leveled up Veredicto gets your fervour back very quickly, allowing you to nearly keep the boss in a permanent stun. The figures I used were the following:
The Anointed One - The Ecstatic Novice
Tirso - The Thirst
The Traitor - Castula
The Selfless Father - The Scribe
Prior to entering the boss room, drink all of your health items and make sure you have no guilt. Once the boss fight starts, immediatly freeze him and hit him with 4 basic attacks, making sure all 4 hit him twice. After the 4th attack, immediatly freeze him again to keep him stunned.
Eventually you will not have enough fervour and will need to hit him a 5th time, when this happens he will start an attack which will be frozen in place, and you have to manage hitting him while not getting greedy. When the attack unfreezes, dodge it (the beams you can just dash through, explosive orbs you should double jump on the opposite side where they spawned and dash over once they've exploded) and continue to hit him. With these extra couple hits, you should be able to keep him perma frozen again by only doing 4 attacks.
Be patient and time your few dodges well and this trophy will be yours!

Awesome guide! Can't believe they made last boss so easy when second-to-last was significantly harder (as in the first game, I guess). Only one thing - you had a figure that increases damage when your flasks are empty and did not empty them before entering boss room) With empty flasks I managed to keep him almost perma frozen - only once I had to hit him fifth time and froze time again until he died.

As of patch 1.0.5.0 the easiest boss to do this on is Great Preceptor Radames.
The move set is very straightforward and you can get this done before allowing the transition to 2nd phase.
I did this as a fresh run after I finished the main game and all other achievements, but this could totally be done during your first run if you’re happy to stay here and learn the attack patterns.
If you’re doing a fresh run I recommend starting with Veredicto and playing the first couple hours of the game (I’d already beaten Orosphina, but it’s not completely necessary, I was just there already and thought I’d give her a go for a no damage run).
You’re going to need the prayer Peteneras to the Burial of the Lights, which is the first one you collect. I had all the level 1 upgrades for Veredicto and I had spent some martyrdom points on unlocking a couple of Alterpiece slots.
I was using:
The traitor (+10% damage)
The scribe (build fervour quicker)
The bishop (+10% prayer damage)
The choirmaster (increased chance of criticals using prayers)
You’re going to begin the fight with one attack, then dodge away and use your prayer (Down + B). Get in another hit then back away and dodge the next attack/projectiles. Grab the wall and jump over the boss rush when it comes. Get in one more hit and immediately fire off your prayer again and dodge away. From here it’s pretty random but you’re essentially getting in 1 or 2 hits then dodging and firing your prayer.
You can wrap this up in under 1 minute on a successful run - see below..
Good luck
